ok so im gonna buy an 30 gig video ipod

but my friends say its a waste becuase you cant even watch a movie becuase they change the file size as in 100 mb= 1 gig
can this be true?

Sometimes a file can actually gain in size, depending on the encoder. But I love my ipod video.

It depeneds on how big the file was originally as of what i know there is no fixed change

If anything, the videos become smaller because they're reduced to 320x240.

But remember, the 30 gig iPod can only play standard video for about 2 hours and that only gets less over time. :(

Yep, rechargable batteries tend to slowly get worse. When I first bought this laptop, the batteries lasted almost 4 hours. Now, after a year, it's just a bit more than 3.

Yes. You need to find a video converter program for anything you don't buy off of iTunes. There are bunches of shareware trial ones, but the trials are usually morbidly inhibited so they will only play 5 minutes, or they won't have an audio track (sound), or there will be a huge watermark in the middle. The only way to get around that is to register (buy) the program. Of course, you could always steal the serial code or crack the program, but that's bad.
