So, what do you think goes into the "perfect" post? What I mean, is what do you think is required in a post to be considered "perfect"? Would that be humor, wit, intelligence, relevance to the thread, or something else? Help me out here, please?

To the left of the post, in the field where you see the poster's name, it should say "RSL."

mix humor wit thought and intellegence with a good idea. Add some good imput with some regular posters, a generous portion of relevant discussion, and a dash of spam. Top it all off with a bit of recognized members some mods and a big steaming pile of Chuck Norris and you got yourself a da*n near perfect post.

Yeah that's pretty much the ticket.

Um, I would say that a perfect post is hard to come by. Of course it depends on the topic and all that jazz. I'm quite confused as to why anyone would care what the perfect post is, to be honest.

If you joined before 2002: Reference to oldbie crap.
If you joined after 2002: Brown nosing the mods/popular members.
If you joined in 2002: You're a freak. Leave the boards immediately.

The most important aspect is relevance to the thread. Intelligence should be shown (unless you are joking around). Humor and wit should try to be in there (unless you are posting in EOEO).

For me, the perfect post would be funny, but not just silly. It would make me think about or question something. It wouldn't be too short, but not pages long, either. It would be hilarious in a few places and poignant in others, and written by someone with a solid grasp of the english language. There would be a damn funny picture in there, too, and somebody would be insulted. Probably Raistlin.

Yeah. We're kind of like the anachronism of EoFF. We don't really belong in oldbie time or newbie time. We rock, go 2002. :D

But WE'RE DYING. ;_____;

oh man, don't you remember the days when raistlin posted? me neither. that sort of thing in my case would more likely be a reference to Aiyon (the one in 2003, of course) crap.

and psy 2001 roxorz way total more than 2002

>>> It depends on the forums.

GC - its wit, humor..
Eoeo - its intelligence, relevance to the thread.
The lounge - It doesnt really matter.
Gaming/FF forums - its the right answer.
Art forums - Many things.
Feedback - Mindless spam..

I guess something that wasn't so thought on so it's nice and casual and you don't get so extremely tense while reading the post. :excited:

Personally I'm happy if people adhere to correct spelling and grammar. Bonuses include an intelligent, thought out answer and perhaps a bit of humour sprinkled on top. O, and absolutely no use of any acronyms such as lol.

A perfect post shouldn't have more than one line. It should be original, witty, somewhat relevant to the topic, but you have to have a custom rank for people to find it funny. That's just how cruel the world is. :(
