The title pretty much covers it. Simply tell us the last CD you purchased, and (if you like) say what you thought of it.

I guess I'll go first. Just yesterday I brought home Elbow's Leaders of the Free World, having heard great things about the band, and having seen it cheap in a record store. I remember being vaguely aware of some Elbow songs getting radio play, but couldn't recall whether they were any good or not, so I went into the album almost blind. It turned out to be rather a disappointment, really. The album never really varies in mood or style, but without being particularly cohesive either. Most of the songs plod along at a constant pace, and the lyrics don't really do much to help the whole package either (although this might be something to do with the fact that Guy Garvey doesn't ever sound interested in what he's singing). It's not all bad (The Stops and Leaders of the Free World are decent songs) but overall I found it hard to get in to this album.

Anyway, criticism over with, now it's your turn. :)

I just purchased: Envy - Compiled Fragments CD a few moments ago. It was bought online so I don't have it yet, though I have heard many of the songs already. Basically it is just a collection cd, bringing together mostly songs from vinyl-only releases, spanning the band's career thus far.

By "last" do you mean the newest or the last one I bought period?

I newest CD I bought was KoRn - Untouchables (yeah, it's been awhile), and is probably what really made me stop liking them, although I was already on the verge of not liking them.

The last CD I bought was Savage Garden - Affirmation when I saw it on the used shelf for five bucks.

Probably the whole "set" of Machine Head albums. Naturally, they all rock. Burning Red was kinda lame in places though. I mean, a Police cover? Seriously.

Technically it was Best of Full Metal Alchemist (Hagaren Image Files), but that CD didn't work so I exchanged it (it was an independent anime store) and picked up the Xenosaga OST instead. Yasunori Mitsuda =

I think it was Aenima, from Tool. I'm happy with it, although I don't think Tool is as good as A Perfect Circle. Yet.

It was too much, when Jin hit that final punch line the crowd went wild.
Nothing is better than actually witnessing these things....

I just got interested in music last year and I download all my songs so there is no real need to buy the albums.
