Inspired by a few posts from the trigun thread I bring you This one. Post villians from games, anime, movies, books, ect.

Lamda(Wild Arms 4): One of those villians who has the good of the people in mind. Id explain more but that would contain some major spoilers.

Albedo (Xenosaga): A seemingly Immortal fighter who has a few screw loose. Described as Jr.'s Darker half, he seems to have his own agenda that does not involve the people he works with. He knows full well they are using him, as they know exactly what he wants. Most of the poeple in his own organization despize him, with the exception of one. Again I'd say more, but major spoilers.

Margulas (Xenosaga): A man trying to restore the world and be rid of the false light that guides humanity.

Gades, Sinistral of Destruction (Lufia 2):His name says it all, he thrives on destruction. One of the four main villians in the game.

Erim, Mistress of death (Lufia 2): the Third sinestral, she was the power to reseredct the others, so the only way to win is to kill her. No more can be said for spoilers again.

Gares (Ogre battle march of the black queen): A twisted knight who loves to kill, supposebly immortal.

Well, Albedo owns he's one of my favorite enimies. I wish you could play as Negredo (can't remember his other name lol) I don't know who the best enemy would be, there's just so many. My favorites

Achilles (Ender's Saga by Orsen Scott Card)- A young man you has this crazy mental disorder, in which he has an uncontrollable urge to kill anyone that sees him in a helpless state, even if the people are triing to help him.

That's all I can really think of...

I'll agree with Albedo. He was awesome, maybe my favourite thing about that game.

I'm not so sure Pyramid Head deserves to be on the list of Greatest Villains of all time, but I want to mention him anyways. ;D

I can't think of anymore right now, my brain's dead.

General Alfonz (Skies of ARcadia): HE one of those villians you wan't to beat sensless, which is what a villian is suppose to be.

General De Loco (Skies again): Hes crazy and a genious, plus his airship is the coolest. Not as cool as little Jack, but none are that awsome.

Celes council (Neon Genisis Evangelion): Can't say to much about them, but I thought they were awsome villians.

I'll say Albedo too. He was a mean one.

Naraku from Inuyasha is pretty rotten too. Someone who wants be completely a demon and lives to make Inuyasha and the others suffer.

Kefka. He didn't kill for greed, revenge, status. He killed just for s and giggles, aka just because he could.

I completly forgot about the Homunculi! Some aren't that bad, they are just warped by Dante. (like Wrath, and Gluttoney) But the others like Sloth and Lust, are really mean.

Hector Con Carne, from Evil Con Carne.
Heathcliffe, in Wuthering Heights.
Lex Luthor, in Smallville. (Not really a villain, at least in the earlier seasons. Still sexy though.)

Darth Vader! He has the best theme tune, comes from one of the best movie series and terrified me when I was younger. Yeah, Darth all the way, sod Anakin, Darth rules.

You can't really look past Mr Blond from Reservoir Dogs when it comes to sadistic, bad-ass villains.

The Audrie 2, who doesn't love a large singing Green plant.

If you're talking greatest, it's hard to go past Doom. He's the quinessential meglomaniacal villain. He's all about world domination, defeating Reed Richards, and proving his inherent supiority over others. Doom's origin was recently retold in The Book of Doom miniseries, so if you're interested, that might be a good place to start.

Magneto would definitely have to be up there. He's a bit more 3-dimensional than Doom, and believes that everything he does is for the betterment of mutants. This leaves him with a lot more grey area.

I've always loved Ultron. He's a murderous robot Avengers villain whose obsessed with killing Henry Pym (original Ant-Man), his creator ("father").
