ok my ps2 keeps saying please reconnect the analong controller blah blah blah, so i plug it in, i press starts a second later it happens again, any suggestion before i buy a new one

erm, check for a low price then buy a new one?
It seems to not want to work, have you tried blowing into the controller port to get any dust out that might interfere? If not then i think you'll have to get a new one

yea i tried tht, yesterday was working perfectly then today wen i started playing tht stated happening

Are any wires poking out inbetween the two halves of the controller? because one might have been foced out and crushed the connection, that's what happneed to mine
