Don't you hate it when members send invites to their crappy forums, and then get banned for it? I've gotten loads of those, and I don't want to join those forums! What do you do when you get those? Do you check the forum out? Or do you ignore them, like me?

Hate requires an awful lot of energy.

I am apathetic towards advertisement spam.

The trick is to ask them all sorts of annoying questions about the site, and make them do annoying things (like making a green skin because you're colourblind) just to see how far they'll go to get you to join.

I haven't been PMed about it on EoFF in a long time, though. Now I feel empty inside.

Yeah, but they are usually banned by the time I read the PM. I would though, lol. Just to see how far they'd go.:p

Some vincent guy sent me an e-mail with just a link in it. I replied saying "Don't expect me to click on that. ;) "

Maybe I should remove my e-mail from my profile... hmm...

I got an email before. I just deleted it. I think these people are waisting their time, hardly anyone joins anyway.

Usually the sooner you forward these to us the sooner we can tell off/ban the perpetrator, depending on whether or not they've actually made an effort to post or not.

I'll either ignore them, or reply to them and say their site is lovely, even though I never visited it.

I think I've only gotten one or two of those, and I really don't find them all that annoying. I read it, maybe investigate, maybe ban, and then get on with life. It's not like by clicking on the PM you actually have to reply or join their forum or something. :apathetic:

Whenever that happens (which is actually somewhat often), I just report them and get on with life.

From now on, I may do what Psy said... then report them.

What you should do is join that forum and PM as many of the members you possibly can to advertise this site. That could be fun

03-12-2006, 06:36 AM
That would be bad and instigate forum wars :(

I've gotten people message me on AIM, asking me to join forums. I told one of the that his forum looked like an emo version of Eyeson.

That's what I'll do if I ever get one again. I got one yesterday, after asking what the forum was, I ignored him.
