I was just on Wikipedia looking at the UK release date for KH2, and I found Kingdom Hearts 3 has been confirmed and will be coming out on PS3.:D

Yeah, I've heard about it too.
But it will take a while since the KHII team are working now on a new project not related to KH at all.

Wikipidia... That place isn't always the most accurate place to look.
Can't we wait for KHII to come out in the rest of the world before we start hollering about III? And not all of us will be able to afford the ps3 for a long time, anyway.

PS3 = between $400 - $500 maybe....they havent said yet but that should be close (i pray lower but I doubt it)

Wikipedia isn't an official source of information since anyone can edit it. Tetsuya Nomura has said that the work on KH has been finished for now, and the new secret project they're working on is not KH-related. I'd give the exact links to that interview (it might have been in Ultimania, not sure), but KHU's site is down at the moment. But anyway, KH3 hasn't been confirmed, and for now, SE isn't going to even start their next KH project.

EDIT: Here's the part of the Tetsuya Nomura interview in KHII Ultimania:

Q. Does that mean you already have a plot for KHIII?
A. Hmm... I have an idea but it can't be helped because my team are planning to work on our next different title. So we're not working on KHIII now and we're not planning to work on it for some time, too. I have a plot in my head but I'm not sure if it'll be released to the world or just stay in there.

Anyone can post stuff on wikipedia. I could go right now and post that there's also going to be a KH 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 if I wanted to.

This is not a "confirmation". It means nothing unless Square-Enix says so.

But really that doesn't solve anything because of the imfamous "but"

Miyazaki worlds would be cool, but I doubt they'd have them. Disney only releases the movies in America, but they don't actually make them.

Oh please, like they're actually not going to make a KH3. At the very least it would be a bad business move, look how much it's sold, and it hasn't even made worldwide sales yet. And the secret movie, how much more confirmation do you need? Unless something happens with the staff or whatnot, KH3 is in the future plans of Square-Enix. No, the team isn't going to start working on it for a while, but I assure you it's in the plans. No, they haven't confirmed it, but they've done everything but confirm it. Kind of like Laguna is Squall's father.

Edit: I knew I had read this somewhere. Section of an interview, Nomura does say it's going to happen....

Nomura: As of now, my team and I aren't fully focused on a sequel to Kingdom Hearts 2 for the next generation of gaming, but there will definitely be one. We're currently working on another project that will also take a long time. However, you can expect something Kingdom Hearts related to show itself during the middle of PS3's life. When that is, I don't even really know. (laughs)

So, I'd say that it's at least in the plans, and I believe Nomura could be considered a Square official or what not. And if it does as well as Kingdom Hearts (and it looks like it's going to do better), I have no doubt it will stay in the plans.

Anyway, Kingdom Hearts has been decided as one of the three 'pillars' of SE, along with Final Fantasy... and I believe Dragon Quest. 2 will not be the last one.

I've been told it's going to be £200 maybe a bit more but nothing over 300 (sorry don't know how about $ there or to a £)

I'm also going to be the ultimate fantasy in the eyes of millions of viewers as I rock the mic with my band live . . . course I have to form a band first. :p
I'll be playing Jet Enduro in Wild Arms the Movie which I'll write, edit, direct and cast personally. Course I need like 15k to get started. Any investors? lol

Seriously though, if anyone really wants me to buy them a PS3 (they can't afford), then start hoping and praying and crossing your fingers and knocking on wood or whatever it is you do when you want something. Think positive.

They should add this in the fighting system: allow you to have a party of five: Donald, Goofy, and three Keyblade masters: Sora, Riku, and Kairi. You should also allow driving with Donald and Goofy for all three Keymasters, and also a "team communicator" similar to that of NASCAR 06: Total Team Control. Different fighting commands, including swapping (switching) between Sora, Riku, and Kairi. If you've played NASCAR 06: Total Team Control, you'll know how the team communicator works.

I'm in the same boat that you are. Oh well, hopefully it will be another four years until the release of KHIII, so PS3s won't be quite as expensive.
