Great Glacier and The Gaea Cliffs...help!

This is my first time playing the game and I am TOTALLY lost. Can someone tell me how to clear Great Glacier and The Gaea Cliffs? Thanks in advance.:)

If you run about in the Great Glacier area (the place you land after snowboarding) then you will eventually collapse and end up in a stuck mountain climbers hut where he's been living for the last few odd years (don't question it, just go along. I mean, you've gone along with shrinking temples, giant birds and rip-offs of The Thing right?). After that it's a simple task of yamming up the mountain through a rather simple climbing/button-mashing "mini-game" (that term used VERY loosely).

There are some goodies scattered about the various locations tho, and some of em are useful enough.

The map isnt that hard to follow once u find a point of reference.

watch out for "all materia" " added cut materia" and on the cliffs themselves "alexander materia" gl and remember to get the enemy skill magic breath... ( dont get pissed off when your entire party gets ko'd by magic breath.)

Don't worry with the Alexander materia. You can go back and get it later.
