When I click on go advanced from the quick reply box the smily box on the right is messed up. Some of the smileys are on there twice, and others are gone, unless the staff removed some :(

That sometimes happens to me. Like, when I click on the  smiley it says :p in my messages, and sometimes there'll be three  smileys there. And sometimes the thread icons get screwed up too.

Also, now that I'm thinking about them, it seems like half the time the excited smiley shakes back and forth, and other times it just sits still. :excited:

I'm so awesome that I never have to click the smileys to say what I want. I just type it out.<- just like that one

Looks fine to me. Try it from a variety of threads and tell us what you get.

Maybe. I haven't had it do it again, but it happens at random times.

OK, now my smilies aren't working in usernotes... See my last page for details. The current last two posts have a non-working confuse smiley.

EDIT: Never mind. I'm retarded and can't spell :p

It's only ever happened while using THE WORLD'S BEST BROWSER™ aka Firefox for me.

Which browser are you using right now because it's working just fine on Mozilla Firefox.

Just checked the smilie manager and everything seems to be in order in there... so I'm just going to say "Oh, it's Firefox AGAIN."

I'm sorry, aftermath.

I don't understand :( How come it works for YOU? But not me for me?! :twak:

I know. :eep: Guys, fix this problem? It's annoying. Oh, don't you blame Firefox, BoB. I use IE and I  IE, but...

:(

Lil Ripsta

Weird.

Loony BoB

Resha, you have a checkbox which allows you to disable smilies in your post. You probably have it checked. There is an option in your User CP (Edit Options) which will allow you to change whether it is checked or not by default.

The problem only happening when Firefox is being used pretty much screws up that theory.

I changed loyalties now that Opera is free and neat. Though I have experienced some problems here and there while browsing, though not on this site. All its neato options more than make up for it. So much better than FireFox. Which in itself is so much better than IE. Yay for STABLE tabbed browsing >_> And it remembers where you were when you close it out and re-open it :D :D

Oh, uh... what were we talking about? I got caught up doing a sales pitch (even though its FREE)

Oh yes, I forgot, you know more about browsers and functionality than all the computer experts here who use Firefox. :rolleyes2

So what you're saying is that Firefox, which has the problem, has no problem, and IE, which has no problem, has the problem.

...I...

...never mind. Go read the FAQ.

Download Firefox here to spite BoB and use a better browser:

There, that better? :D

It still hasn't done anything to solve the problem, Raist, so stop posting off topic. If you want to go off on a tangent, at least wait until the problem is resolved. Especially when it actually is a valid problem.

Flying Mullet
03-30-2006, 10:26 PM

You're one to complain about going off-topic, Daniel. How much did you goof around in my "the hidden punishments" thread? At least be consistent in your bitching.

Is there some kind of setting saved in the db for each user that isn't modifiable via the user's control panel that has her smileys permanently disabled? Like some odd user group or something?

Loony BoB

Nope.

Some smilies seem to be appearing more than once in the smilie box when using Firefox.

Xaven
04-01-2006, 08:08 AM
And some other smilies are showing up that should never have been there in the first place. However, that doesn't seem to be happening with me. Maybe it's skin-specific?

If you haven't already given up, this was also part of a diversion. Not real.
