So I was bored at work and stuff, and I decided to log out of EoFF because I never do. Well, when I logged out on IE, I got a really creepy looking screen...

Edit: uploaded better pic of it After testing it out, it doesn't happen to me on Firefox, just IE. Did EoFF break for IE?

HAI LOOK! YOU CAN SEE ME IN #EOFF! I am famous

My thoughts exactly. xD Which makes me suspicious of clout having done this.

All i know is that I thought I was being sucked into a parallel dimension. I was like, wTF happened to EoFF?! Oh wait... what?!

Is this supposed to be a common error? Or am I the first to get it? No matter what I do, it keeps happening, but only on IE and only when pushing the log out screen...

Further, I use classic and it will jump to the new 2005 skin once i log out.

It will jump to the 2005 style when you log out because that is the default skin.

Dignified Pauper

Well, yea, I knew that, I was just wondering if the switch had anything to do with it. I'll try switching my default skin to the 2005 brown ugly stuff and then log out and see what it does. Will post results soon.

Seriously, I'm sure it's just something that clout or Samuraid has done for the hell of it. Don't worry about it if it's just while the logout popup is up.

yuck, brown gross scheme... Ed's Technicolor Nightmare was cooler than this... anyways... Same thing happened again.

Is this the big prank you guys are pulling this year?

It's nothing I've known about.

Samuraid

It wasn't my doing. It has something to do with CSS elements, but I haven't looked into it. It may be due to someone adding a mirror CSS style to the page when a logout occurs.

I'd say the odds-on favourite is still that clout got bored. :p

And a polarize effect on top of it.

Hmm... a problem in IE? How surprising. :p

It's not a problem. A quick check in the templates confirmed it is indeed just clout messing around. :) Seems nobody noticed since March 11th (or possibly earlier, if that wasn't his latest edit to the template).

I noticed it, but I thought it wasn't worth mentioning.

I was waiting for some Firefox fundamentalist to say that. :) You didn't fail me.

A Firefox fundie? That's somewhat like being a math fundie. It's pretty much incontravertable fact.

You firefox 'fundies' are cute. Anyway, I'm with BoB here. This has Archie's name written all over it.

I still think this reeks of an April Fools prank that the staff messed up covering up.

You guys don't think big enough when it comes to these pranks. If we really were doing a big staff-wide prank (which we're not, we decided to take the year off), this would obviously be the decoy prank that misleads you while we hook you on the real one.

Dignified Pauper
03-31-2006, 08:43 PM
that doesn't mean that this can't be part of the big prank, Mr. Del Murder.

Well, until Leeza told me it wasn't a prank an hour or so into it. :( Damned Leeza.

You guys all suck - I did that change at least a good two weeks ago, and am surprised how long it took for someone to post about it :p And yes, IE only, because that uses Microsoft-specific CSS/DirectX extensions to do that filter :p If anyone actually remembers, the default vB filter is to just greyscale the page, not flip/invert etc. the image :kaoplain:

I noticed it forever ago, but didn't think it mattered.
