In an effort to relieve stress, I changed my background to this picture I took of the sunrise at Cathedral Cove, on the Coromandel Peninsula in New Zealand. Is there a particular place that brings you peace?

edit: I had to reduce the size because it was too big. It was 1024 x 768, now it's... something smaller. Is there anything this place can do right? >_<

Have you ever sat in their big cushy seats and people-watched? It's amazingly peaceful. I've fallen asleep on their seats before. :p

But yeah, it's wonderfully calm there in a hustle and bustle sort of way.

Plus, that's where Sydney and Vaughn had their dance (http://youtube.com/watch?v=7vv3Tl6UPE4).

To me it's any place where it's quiet and you can here the rain drops hitting the ground during a storm. Very peaceful to take a nap during a rain storm :)

I didn't take this picture, nor have I ever been to this place, nor do I even know where it is. I just have to look at this picture however and happy and calm.

This is on a local mountain I sometimes hike on with some friends. It's not huge or particularly magnificent, but it's always quiet and tranquil.

There probably isnt a place like this anywhere in the world, but I would say that it would probably be pure tranquility being there.....

Arkansas arkansas,
'Tis a name dear,
'Tis a place I call home sweet home.

Arkansas, Arkansas,
I salute thee,
From thy shelter no more I'll roam~

One hill in my little city, there's only one house there, but is alone nearly all the time.

There you can see all the city, the plains, the mountains, everything from there. But now it is under invasion from the freaks of the goverment with a new park around the hill, I will take photos of the place and show it to you later n.n

Cathedral Cove. :) I'll also assume that you went there purely because I told you to. You better have! My ego does, anyway. Mine is obviously Cathedral Cove, too. Can't wait to go there when I'm back in NZ.

You told me about Cathedral Cove? :p

And Miriel, no I didn't sit on the plushy seats because I was in a standing mood, but I did people-watch. It's one of my favorite pastimes, people-watching, that is.

Probably told you dozens of times - here (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showpost.php?p=902794&postcount=37) is an example from the forums (you'll have to look for the reply to some guy called princeofdarknez :p), but I'm certain I've brought it up in chat a few times too. :D Cathedral Cove is my avourite nature-type place in the world (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showpost.php?p=1296490&postcount=23).

EDIT: And yeah, I read all your blog entries and have seen all your pics. :D Hooray for RSS feeds on LiveJournal.

When I thought I was going to Christchurch :p I didn't even know I was here in Nov 2004 xD Although I did not recall your recommendation, I am still very glad to share my favorite place with someone else who feels the same way about it. I can understand why you miss it like crazy. Awesome, it's a lovely place. I tell other people to catch the sunrise and so now I have all their pics to look at too (although mine are still the best) :p

And who the hell is that princeofdarknez punk. He should be banned.
