SNES/Genesis

Genesis is the better of the two, but SNES has a the higher scaled games. PSone is just badass.

There. My top three.

PS1! Its amazing, think of all those games...Final Fantasy VII, Alundra I & 2, Metal Gear Solid, Crash Bandicoot, Doom(I know this was for SNES before but PS1 version is better), Duke 3D, Frogger!, Tekken 1, 2 & 3, Guilty Gear, Bloody Roar, Smackdown series, Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy VII & IX, FF: Tactics, RPG Maker, etc, theres just so many amazing games. PS1 ownes SNES.

Nintendo 64 was pretty much THE console when it came out. Only one person I knew owned a PSX, compared to everyone else I knew owning a N64.

I have yet to own a console or handheld that gave me as much joy as the N64 did.

PlayStation 2. it has most of the games i like to play (Final Fantasy, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Tenchu, Dark Cloud). well, some of those are on other consoles too, but i know they want to stay mainstream with PS2. on record, i own less than 5 GameCube games. for those mini handhelds, i got to say that Gameboy Advance ranks in closeby.

Strictly among the consoles, I probably have had the most fun with SNES games.

Looking at gaming systems overall, the best system has been and is the PC.

I think I'd have to go with the N64, for the sake of all the wonderful memories I have from growing up. Spending nights with friends (and their older siblings :p) playing Goldeneye, The World is Not Enough, Mario Kart, and so much more made up some of the most innocently blissful experiences of my life.

It's silly to choose a favourite. They all have their different uses and brought enjoyment in many different ways.

The SNES and the PS1 are sources of solid gaming to me. Compare my stock of PS1 games to PS2 games and you'll find the former almost doubles the latter. I was so much more into gaming when I was running the PS1. xD

The SNES is a whole different story. Not so many games, just lots of pure, honest fun.

The Dreamcast is truely an underrated console. Not only was it ahead of its time, it had an awesome gaming library. The day Sega said they werent making console hardware anymore was the day I considered suicide...

Truly, I felt that way too. The reason why I say it's a Swiss Amry Knife of game consoles is because it can play EVERYTHING that can fit on a CD. I just wish I knew a way to make a SNES emulator work on one without lag.
