Dunno if we had one of these before. I haven't been here in like 4 years and couldn't bother to check past the third page of The Lounge.

Let's do this!!!!

My Latest Novel - Wolves
Cat Power - The Greatest
Destroyer - Destroyer's Rubies
Pinetop Seven - The Night's Bloom
Islands - Return to the Sea (pre-ordered)
Fiery Furnaces - Bitter Tea (pre-ordered)

The new FF sounds promising, as does the debut from Islands, though I'm much more interested in the latter. The new Cat Power is average. I'm thinking about getting the new Flaming Lips as well.

Post your latest album purchases here. :choc:

I haven't been buying many albums lately, but Regina Spektor's European mix of 11:11 and Soviet Kitsch was the last album.

Holy crap, I had no idea Fiery Furnaces had a new record coming out! I hope it's better than Rehearsing My Choir, that wasn't very exciting. Islands were a disappointment, personally. I miss the Unicorns. They were so good. :[

I haven't bought any albums in a while. I bought a Prefuse 73 record last month, I don't know which one, haha. I'm going to pre-order the new Owen Pallett this week, though.

It's been so long since I purchased an album...I think the last one was Muse - Orgins of Symmetry, if you haven't heard it, I suggest you do, it brings out the creative side in me. ^_^

Hmmmm, lets see.

Giant Drag- Hearts And Unicorns

Giant Drag was good, but not as good as originally anticipated. Very fuzzy My Bloody Valentine stuff, but filled with agnst. I really like the singing on this record.
Top Song- My Dick Sux

http://www.gigwise.com/artists/00006760_meds.jpg

Placebo- Meds

Really very good. Highly recommeded to ALL. I tink it's their first GREAT ALBUM, rather than great singles but some shoddy filler. This one is all good, with some great sing-a-long tracks.
Top Song- Meds

Trespassers William- Having

Beautiful. I've always liked this band (Before The O.C) but this one is different to their previous albums. It's got some odd feedback, but it still has Anna Lynne Williams voice to enchant you.
Top Song- Safe,Sound

I'm intending to buy some new ones soon.

The new Yeah Yeah Yeahs album, Show Your Bones. There aren't as many standout songs as on their previous album, but not as many disappointing ones either, so that's OK.

Usually a contempary mod band, like Elbow wouldn't appeal to me at all, turns out i like each and every song on their newest album.:D And the singer's got such a deep voice, i love it.

Edge of Sanity - Crimson II (A 43min one-track album. My second favourite progressive death metal song ever, beaten by Crimson I only.)
http://www.levykauppax.fi/cover/normal/1/10/10807.jpg

Therion - Lepaca Kliffoth (The album where Therion left the death metal genre and started experimenting more with symphonic and operatic music.)
http://coverart.last.fm/300x300/1412980.jpg

Therion - Symphony Masses: Ho Drakon Ho Megas (Their last death metal album, but still extremely far from the orthodox sound of death metal. Lots of symphonic sounding synths and middle eastern influences on this album.)
