It was KumKum, adventures of a young cave boy. It was a cheap video my nana bought me when I was 6 or so to watch when I went to her house. Strange I was watching anime from a young age.

Voltron, Speed Racer, and Mazinger Z on t.v. when I was a kid in the early '80s; and Fist of the North Star and Akira for movies when I was a teen. All were excellent, and I highly recomend them. I guess I could throw in the old anime movie of Heidi back in the '80s; but I don't really want to remember that, so...:greenie:

Yeah, the first DB is the best :D Unfortunately, we never even got it here until after DBZ, so it was more of a prequel to that, other than the actual series. :(:cat:

Samurai Pizza Cats was a fun anime that, at least in the dub, was freakishly high brow. I had the occassion to watch an episode recently, and I was amazed at the level of dialogue.

Samurai Pizza Cats, I love that show so much, havn't watched it in ages. Then of Course dbz, pokemon and sailor moon. This was al lbefore I knew what anime was. THe one that really hooked me into the Genre was cowboy Bebop. Though now I really want to get a hold of Samurai Pizza cats.

The first series I watched relatively seriously was Inu Yasha. I caught a glimpse of it at a friends house and later watched almost 90 episodes if I remember correctly. Ah, the memories! :mog:

I think that most people born between 1980-1987 would have had the young of seeing it on tv (in the UK anyways) I used to live Samurai Pizza cats, so many people didn't believe me when I told them it existed

After theat and things like Transformers etc I guess the first anime I watched was Evangelion as a series and Akira. Eva is still one of my favourite series :D
