What opponents do you go for first?

Do you go for the weaker ones which don't hurt you much but can be easily killed first? Or do you deal with them after the big badduns?

Hmm so you must be playing DQ* Angelo uses sarcasm in battle well I guess I go for the easier ones 1st, it depends if it's a boss battle or not, if it is, I'll concentrate on hitting the boss and I'll hit those little things every once and then.

it really depends, I always go after magic using enemies first, then typically weaker ones to get them out of the way cause they're annoying, then the big bad ones, though if I can take out the big one without the small ones bothering me, I go for the big one

Depends what type of game it is. If it's an RPG, I'll take out the minions first, but if it's something like Star Wars Battlefront II, I'll concentrate all my fire on the Jedi.

Unless it's a boss fight where the bosses have significantly more power than their minions, I will usually take out the hardest hitting creatures first. In boss battles I usually try to take down the minions before moving on to the boss itself.

Depends how much of a nuisance they are. Like in Crystal Chronicles, if I'm fighting a boss and it's minions are putting me off I'll kill them. But in a game like Resident Evil 4 when I have a bunch of enemies and a Chainsaw guy coming out me I tend to kill him first.

I'll typically take out the weaker guys first. 5 people hitting you is worse than just 2, and if the weaker ones can be taken down in a turn or two, I'll go for that. However, I do have exceptions: if one bad guy can heal the others, that makes him an immediate first target. Or if one of them has an exceptionally strong attack.

Whoever is the greatest threat longterm. For example, in GW, a mesmer has little offensive or healing abilities. Its support abilities can turn the tide of battle in seconds.
In FPS, whoever gets in the sights.

so in a way, I go for the weakly powerful, as mesmers die in like 2 hits...

And anti adrenaline. Best way i find is to use rangers. I use them myselves a lot.

Depends on the Game mechanics. Do low damage monsters take a lot to kill? Are the dmg tables that far off... there is so much to consider, it is hard to answer. Generally, the weaker ones should die first.

If you kill the harders ones first, it's usually less fun because you're just left with something that isn't as satisfying to kill. So, the easier ones go first.

Agreed. Although obviously some boss fights aren't going to obey the same rule.

I do what Behold the Void does, usually. But there are exceptions! I just like getting the hard stuff over with first, and then I can relax. 8-)

It depends. In FPS', I'll kill the weaker guys to lower the number of people shooting me. In RPG's, I'll kill the major boss first unless the minions are doing high amounts of damage. If the minions respawn or are weak, I won't.
