this game is hard and i even have it on begginers mode to me getting the madaloin in 9 seconds is impossible(when you goto pirates of the carribean fer the second time) then my sister called me saying i have no chance of winning cause her boyfriend(whos soposed to be an expert gamer) was havin trouble i really think this game rated fer higher ages cause if a 20 yr old has problems beating it what makes the rating people think a 10yr old can beat it gosh!

Are you sure we're playing the same game? I am personally finding the game to be annoyingly easy.

I don't think we're playing the same game.
this game is pretty easy. I've only had trouble with one boss, and that was cause I wasn't using the reactions enough.
Seriously KH1 is much harder.

But I don't mind so much, I only play for the story :)

Sephrioth is soooo hard

Except for his insanely annoying midair combos (which I find extremely difficult to block/avoid), he is actually fairly easy. Just equip the Berserk Charge ability. Block his initial attack with Triangle, then attack him with your Trinity limit. You may only have Sora, but you can still do a hell of a lot of damage to him with it. Follow up with an unlimited attack combo. Because Berserk Charge means that he can't recover, you can keep this up until you get your MP back. This should take you into the second stage of the battle almost immediately, which means fewer of those annoying aerial attacks. Just unleash Trinity again, or heal yourself if he somehow hurt you. You can rinse and repeat this strategy for the rest of the battle. When he goes to use Descend Heartless Angel, just move towards him and initiate another combo.

Funny I always though Heartless angel was Sins Harvest... wierd XD
I never could beat sephy in KH1... maybe this time around :D
All the KH2 bosses are way to easy... :(

As did I, for the entire time I faced him in KH. However, if you listen to it in KHII, he clearly says Heartless Angel. I haven't heard the "Descend" clearly yet, but I bet it's there.

Yes! I told everyone...At least, I know he says it in KHI. I'll have to get to him in KHII to see what he says in this one...:cat:

My only criticism of the game, and every reviewer's main criticism of the game that I know of so far is how pathetically easy the game is on it's Standard difficulty setting.

It's still fairly simple on proud mode. EXCEPT XALDIN.

I thought it's level of difficulty was higher than the first one. I gave myself an unforseen disadvantage though, when Twilight Town opened again, I went there right away and then went to Hollow Bastion, completely skipping Halloween Town and Pride Land. So I missed two worlds of leveling, and I wasn't doing that much leveling in the first place, so Demyx was a bit of a challenge. Some of the heartless and nobodies in this game (*cough*Crimson Jazz*cough*) are really annoying. I have been killed being attacked by two Crimson Jazz once. The game's difficulty however peaked at Xaldin. Still, it retained more difficulty for me than Kingdom Hearts did. Of course, after Chain of Memories maybe they were just giving us a break.

I had trouble with a grand total of two bosses. Both of which were members of Organization, and both of which were in the last world. Xigbar was the first of the two. My only trouble with him was the one move where he makes the floor small and rains energy beams down on you. Eventually I figured I'd just run in circles to avoid it. That worked quite nicely. The other was Xenmas's final form at the very end of the fight when you have to deflect all the red beams that come at you. I kept using the reaction command for Riku. It took me two tries to realize I was supposed to be spamming the X button for Sora as well. This is on proud, by the way. I couldn't bring myself to play any other difficulty setting.

Other than that, it was ridiculously easy. I haven't given Sephiroth a try yet, but from what I hear he's not as bad as the first time around.

All the bosses are stupid and easy. Even Sephiroth. In this game they make Seph look like a girl when he fights. I can take down 5 health bars without even getting hit.....and that was on my first try. No matter what difficulty you play it on, its so simple it can get annoying. I'm replaying it on proud without changing keyblades and not using drives and its still easy, lol.

P.S. This is coming from a guy that worships this game.

Ouch!

Simplicity never did bother me. The plot more than makes up for it. =D

Sephiroth is insanely difficult on my game. Far, far harder than he was in Kingdom Hearts.

I couldn't even beat the first one, but I smooshed him in KH2. He is pathetic.

The game's difficulty however peaked at Xaldin. Still, it retained more difficulty for me than Kingdom Hearts did. Of course, after Chain of Memories maybe they were just giving us a break.I lost to Xaldin once but Demyx was my main block point. I had to face him 5 times before I started using the Drive-Revert tactic. That damn timer had me ready to break something.

Also, I was really annoyed when I got control over Riku. The idiot had already gone and got his life depleted, so the second I took control, he got killed. All that progress for naught. 'Course I didn't really pay attention to what his options were.

i still think its hard (probably the only reason im havin trouble is because i hate the battle system im really bad at it i have to have time to think if i wanna use the item er not.) .....(or its cause im REALLY poor and cant afford any items....)im currently doing k=jobs until i can buy atleast 80 potions

Ouch!

Personally, I think the battle system is absolutely brilliant, but if you want your enemy to wait for you to choose your next move, your choice.

I started on proud and found it a lot easier than the first one. I had issues with the Titan cup, but asaid from that Just Xaldin, even with a well made stratagy he's a pain

Ouch!

I'll agree that Xaldin was a pain, but I didn't find him to be too difficult. The battle just took a long time.

Gos h I guess you're terrible I should've put it onproud mode because that fight against Scar was a pushover, so so easy. Like a lot of other poeople here I think it's easy I'm playing it on Standard mode right now.

to answer the original question, if you can't beat the guy in 9 seconds, you probably havn't leveled up enough. just go into Valor mode before entering the area and take him out with the two blades easily

Reeno the Alchemist
04-09-2006, 06:18 PM
well i already beat him and xaldin,Xaldin only took me 2 times but i eventually beat him and yes i think its easy at times i know fer a fact its easy'er than KH thats no lie but to me a person who gets mad easily and has retarded hands and needs time to think while in battle has problems in this game but i eventually get past the parts

Ya, I played on proud mode my first run through and found this game to be to easy for my tastes, though I still did very much enjoy the game.
