Have you beaten Sephiroth? Pt.2

O.k. This is a thread with the same idea as part 1, but, this is if you have beaten Sephiroth in KH2. So have any of you guys beaten him yet? I'm at level 46 and I challenged him just now and I knocked off 3 h.p. bars before I died. Woohoo!!!!

My strategy? Equip Berserk Charge, and alternate between Sora's Break Limit and a series of unlimited combos. :D

Yeah. I can't say for sure whether or not he's harder in this one or not, though. I think he's a bit easier seeing as I was on proud mode an I was level 83 when I beat him as opposed to playing on Standard back when I played the first KH, beating him at level 79, I think? I might have been over 80.

Anyone will probably die on him more than any other boss, but I thought the 49th fight of the Hades Paradox Cup (and the Hades Paradox cup in genral considering you need to be level 99 to handle it without major problems) was more tedious than Sephiroth, though I got that fight on my first try. I could beat Sephiroth at 83, but there's no way I'd be able to handle the Paradox Cup at that level.

I owned him in about 20-25 tries on Standard mode at level 60 something.

I had him pretty easily spamming Break and using Ethers/Reflect wisely. Also Aerial Recovery is your friend.

I saw Rice Cake take down Seph on his third try. He was taking like 6 health bars before Seph could even touch him.

I'm at level 51 and Sephiroth owned me pretty bad. The next time I'll try again will probably be at level 65 when I obtain Berserk Charge.

I've only fought him twice. I got killed when he perform his chasing-slash attack. You know where he whips his sword side-to-side and chases you down. I haven't even been able to take out more than 1 life-bar. I got through 1 and 2/3 the second time.

I beat him on normal, level 60. :cat: My hands sure do hurt, but that was easily the funnest and most challenging battle in the game I've played so far. I haven't even challenged the final boss, I wanted to beat Sephiroth first. And so I did!! :love:

Things I did: I used Firaga to knock away alot of the orbs of darkness, that helped. And bbomber, Glide, Double Jump, High Jump, and Dash all help. (Like, for interrupting Heartless Angel, escaping his ground combos, and his Flame Pillar, which sucks you in.)

I don't know what I would've done if I didn't have those Form abilities. But I'm making a save file to fight him whenever I want :love: :cat:

The people that think he's easy are most likely leveled up to 80+, and at that point, yes, he would be a pushover. I'm sure it's quite possible to beat him at whatever level, so long as you have Glide, etc., and other such abilities. (Well, whatever level you have Second Chance and Once More.) And those people are probably spoiled by Berserk Charge. :mad: I didn't even use it, and I still beat the pretty mama's boy :p :tonberry:

Beat him at 84. It was fun only thing that gave me a problem was his Sin Harvest move (Heartless Angel) but once I knew I could hit him during that move it was a done deal. I tryed at level 60 and he OWNED me in 3 hits but I sucked and didn't have any good moves but I beat him and it was fun

No way I'm using it long enough to get glide. However, all my other forms are maxed, so I have all those level 3. I can't get through the Paradox Hades cup well enough to get the mission complete, I am level 65. I did all the others.

I forgot to add that I used Reflega on the orbs of darkness, helps extremely. Well, if you didn't use Curaga already, but yeah, I found a use for that spell. :cat:

Yep, I beat him yesterday. I'll wager, at least for me, he was a little bit harder than he was in KH. Much faster and moved around a lot more basically. Really, he wasn't even that hard in this one, as the only attack he killed me with is his basic slashes, as he'd get me in the air with those and I wouldn't be able to recover. Berserk Charge and Trinity Limit came in so helpful here. :D

Yeah, even though he has a predictable attack pattern, he attacks alot more viciously in this game. I'd say he's harder too.

I don't know why everyone complains about him throwing you up into the air, that's a good thing. I use 3 Square combos and a X combo on him the second he tries to teleport and attack me. And he tries the same move many times too. :love: :cat:

When he used the orbs of darkness, I used Reflega to knock them away, and dodged the supersonic slash thingie. And I interrupted his Heartless Angel attack. And of course, I knock him into the air after the supersonic attack. :love: :cat:

He got easier to me when he started using the Meteor Shower thing. I just jumped and glided side to side of the area, never getting hit. And if I did, I Aerial Recovered to just Glide again. Like in KHI, I think he gets sloppier when he's on his third pattern. :tonberry:

I beat him using Ultima Weapon, Berserk Charge, Glide LVL 1, and High Jump LVL 2.

Level 81, Standard difficulty.

He was MUCH easier in KH 1.

Yeah, at level 81 with great equipment and leveled up bonus abilities, and the extremely broken Berserk Charge.

yeah, much easier than the first game, IMO. berserk charge = owned. I'ma go back and try to beat him without using it at all, bound to make it much harder when you can't pummel him for three life bars at a time.

i beat the game like 2 hrs ago and started fighting seph at lvl 54, i knocked out 4 heath bar thing and then he went the orb way, so i didnt make it out alive, the yea the first one is WAY easier

at level 61 on proud mode with no elixers i knocked off 8 hp bars now im at 65 and about to challange him again. i noticed this battle is all about timeing and stratagy a good amount of power helps too haha

I just beat him yesterday, level 68 on standard. After the 684324th try, I finally got down a pattern of how he moved and how to counter his stuff, and how if you attack quickly enough you can out of that crazy infinite aerial combo he seems to do. It was cool actually beating him, and finally completing Jimminy's Journal.

Zeromus is right. Using the Retaliating Slash by pressing Square is far more effective.

I finally beat him. I was at level 83 on normal mode. I had to take berserk charge off though, I found it really anoying. It was still tough, even at level 83, but I finally got his pattern down. The scene after was awesome:D

Well that would have certainly made life easier. I just Aerial Recovered and attacked really fast, couldn't usually pull it off until the second string of aerial attacks. Hmmm....oh well, I still beat him.

I almost beated up him at Level 93 using the Oblivion key chain (but thought I should use the Rumbling Rose one because of better combos) and all the supporting ablities maxed out for the first three drive forms, but I died and decided to give up on completing Jimminy's Journal and just beat the game instead without the ''secret'' ending.

hi im new to this board and i was just wondering how do i get the berserk charge. im currently in normal mode on lvl 72. <-- dat should be good enough to fight sephiroth rite? i have the ultima weapong too.

i heard dat you had to be on lvl 65 but apparently im on lvl 72 and i still don't have it :confused:

It all depends on what you chose for your type of character at the beginning of the game. If you chose the sword (offensive) then you'll recieve Berserk Charge at Lv 65, if you chose the wand (magic) then you'll recieve Berserk Charge at Lv 49, and if you chose the shield (defensive) then you'll recieve Berserk Charge at Lv 85.

So I'm guessing that you chose the defensive path, which means that you'll have to wait until level 85 to get Berserk Charge.

I couldn't beat him the three times I tried. I finally gave up and just enjoyed watching someone else beat Sephy through the Google search engine. xD Now I feel very satisfied as if I beat him myself. *loves living in his own little world* :D?

Berserk Charge only does what it does when you're charging MP. While that's happening, you have an endless combo (well, Sephiroth will teleport out eventually). But afterwards, you can do finishers again.

At level 48 i found a stratigy that was good. i got him down 4 life bars with it =p

when he knocks you in the air then use areal recoverey, lock on to him and swing. Useally you hit were he teleports to attacks and you can do quit a bit of damage before he goes back down.

also, spamming trinity is helpful =p

If Hollow Bastion has become Radiant Garden, then just go to the area where there was that scene with Sora, Mickey, Xenmas, Axel, Saix and Malificent. He should be there.
