Well, the Enterprise did at the beginning of Star Trek IV, and since we're it's Star Trek Day let's talk about it. What was your favorite Star Trek moment?

I believe it is an old wooden ship used in the Civil War era...

I'll ask my Mom, but I can't imagine wet wood burning very well :(

Fav Star Trek moment huh? Kirk's horrible acting made me laugh. It was funnier than watching SNL.

But Kirk's terrible acting was part of the whole thing, it was so terrible it was fun to watch and just part of the show.

I'd say, all the corny fight scenes with Kirk and monster-of-the-week.

Also, Spock dieing, and of course

Spock's death was probably the only part of any Star Trek movie that was generally moving. But "KHAAAAAAAAN!" was a pretty great moment too.

Captain Kirk was the best thing about Star Trek. TNG is watchable, and the series about the original Enterprise was actually kind of ok (If you overlook the MASSIVE plot hole.) but really now. Captain Kirk. He wins.

Still, Star Trek is massively overrated. Watch a real show, like Babylon 5, Space: Above And Beyond, or something.

Best and saddest moment on Star Trek is the death of Kirk on Generations (sniff :-) )

I don't watch it.

My spaceship can't be going down in flames, I need to go to the moon! :(

My all-time favorite Star Trek moment was at the end of City on the Edge of Forever. It made me cry, and sold me to the fact that Kirk, Spock, and McCoy form one of the best character triangles of all time.

I only watch TNG, which is the greatest series ever. :)

I have too many favourite moments. Worf's, "Nice legs... for a human" in deadpan delivery, just about anything by Data, and Picard is, like, the greatest baldie of all time.

My one favorite? Hmm...

Idunno, but I really enjoy the TNG episodes that feature Q. This afternoon, it was the one where the Enterprise made first contact with the Borg! :o

My favorite moment isnt actually from any of the star trek shows. It is from the family guy the episode with Willam Shatner, it does a spoof of the orignal star trek in the beginning. So funny

Anything from Next Gen. with Q in it.

And the moment the Borg Queen realizes Data was playing her for a fool in First Contact. "Resistance is Futile!" Loved it.

I like it when William Shatner guest starred on SNL and had the "Get a Life" skit.

Lol!! I remember that one too, and I thought it was hilarious! I also remember that a lot of other trekkers didn't think it was so funny and really got pissed at Shatner.
