This is about the first Kingdom Hearts.

I came across some random message board like right when the first Kingdom Hearts came out and I started reading a post and it was talking about how Kairi was Ansem's daughter. I don't know if any of you guys know about this.. but if you do, fill me in.

Not true. Kairi has a grandmother. She didn't give birth to satan.

You don't remember GRANDMA'S STORY?!
I think it was a scene in Hollow Bastion.. it was just Kairi's Grandma telling a story about light and darkness.

Ah, vaguely, its been awhile since i played the first one.

On that topic is kairi originally from hollow bastion? I remember in the first one when sora goes to deep jungle with tarzan, he mentions that the hollow bastion slide looks familiar. Is this because it was familiar to kairi?

Yes Kairi is from Hollow Bastion. She came to destiny Islands in the meteor shower if memory serves me right.

I don't really know what I'm talking about here, but it could be that Ansem is her dad because:

1. She's a Princess of Heart (That is what they're called, right?) Surely a Princess would need to be the daughter of a King?

2. The Ansem you fight in KH1 isn't actually Ansem, but rather Xenahort. The real Ansem is a good guy, and disguises himself a DiZ. (Assuming that's all correct, I haven't played KH2 yet)

So yeah, makes sense to me.

Ouch!

You're overlooking a line from Kingdom Hearts 2. Ansem the Wise (DiZ) refers to Kairi as merely a girl from his city. Also, she doesn't have to be a princess in the political sense of the word. Alice certainly wasn't.

Well, it says in the spoiler that I haven't played KH2.

actually If you watched the movie alice and wonder land you see a big castle in the background

And actually, if you read the books, in Through the Looking Glass, she becomes a queen, so it could be argued that she is a princess.

Yeah oh and it never said ansem was a King he was just a ruler

Ouch!

And that's what I get for not paying too much attention to parenthetical phrases. >_<''

I haven't played KH2 yet, but how did kairi come in the meteor shower and why?

I played Kingdom Hearts 1 and I thought I understood it. What's this about a meteor shower?

The Meteor Shower is the Gummi Barriers breaking down and shattering because of the Heartless.

This is the simplest explanation. During this event, Kairi was sent to Destiny Islands while young, so that the Heartless would not kill/convert her into a Heartless. How (by Gummi Ship, most likely) and why is largely unexplained, and up for conjecture.

However Ansem the Wise never refers to Kairi in a familiaral sense, only that he knew her, unless he already knew that Ansem DarkSeeker wanted Kairi to accomplish his goals, in which case, it would make sense.

Mickey and Ansem the Wise obviously knew alot more than they let on.

The barriers between the worlds are made of gummi's?

Tavrobel

No, the Gummi Ships are made of the barriers. Barriers were always there, until Ansem DarkSeeker broke them with his experiments/creation of the Heartless. When the barriers were broken, they fell down on the worlds in the form of a gel/goo type substance, henceforth known as gummies.

Imagine Earth, except surrounded by an impermeable shield made up of gummi worms and gummi bears. Then when it is broken, it rains marvelously down on the world. And when you have bigger pieces and put them together, you can assemble a gummi ship.

How did I miss all of this in the first Kingdom Hearts?
Gah..

Is there a website or something I can go to? Ha..

Because it was at the beginning, in Traverse Town, when gummies are explained. Too far in to view the scene unless you were playing the game through another time. And too early from the end to be able to remember it clearly when Ansem is revealed to have made the Heartless, and ordered them to destroy the barriers and to consume the Worlds, and when the Meteor Shower that brought Kairi to Destiny Islands is the explaned in detail as the origin.

A lot of the details are explained in Ansem's reports, as well. I would recommend that, at the end of your game, you read all of the reports in numerical order - it really clears things up.

Wait... Remember at the end of KHII where Sora and Riku fell into the coast of the Destiny Islands like meteors? (This being after going through the door to the light...) Don't you think this occurred with Kairi as well? It makes sense, seeing as how they returned in that manner like a meteor shower...

What do you think?
