The same shape as something beige.

older personal computers are beige! does that mean there's the volume of an older personal computer in a lick of sense?

The exact amount of sense required to pre-emptively duck under a low tree branch.

List of making sense:

An extremely minute amount of sense is 0.5/100th of sense.
A tiny bit of sense is 1/100th of sense.
A lick of sense is 5/100ths.
A pinch of sense is 10/100ths.
A dash of sense is 20/100ths.
A wollop of sense is 25/100ths.
A smack of sense is 40/100ths.
A middle-of-the road amount of sense is 50/100ths.
A liberal use of sense applied to something is 60/100ths.
A point at which something is bloody well making some sense is 70/100ths.
A healthy helping of sense is 80/100ths.
A nice, tasty serving of sense is 90/100ths.

And of course, perfect sense is 100/100ths.

I have never said that once in my entire existence. I'll start now. :jess:

Probably more than common sense.

The amount of sense you have not to get smacked upside the head. Or perhaps the amount of sense you lose when are smacked upside the head. Either works.

Now that I think about it, that saying doesn't make a lick of sense, now does it?

One lick is never enough to get a good grasp of how something tastes. A second is almost always needed to have a firm opinion of things. Thus, only having a lick of sense means that one lacks enough sense to do something in the proper or more logical manner. :|

Imagine if your tongue was in your brain. Imagine how much information your tongue would hold if it was in your brain. That's how much a lick of sense is. (I think)

depends on the size of the tongue

It's how much sense you gain after you get a licking for not having enough sense.

A lick of sense is the amount of sense required to know not to lick an electric fence.

Yeah, what are we licking? Because if you don't know what the heck is happening and you lick Resha, she'll punch you in the face. (Or if you're one of the lucky ones, lick back.)

on a related note, how many licks does it take to get to the chewy center of sense?

It depends on how many layers of nonsense enshroud the sense. Usually you have to get through layers of unnappetizing nonsense to find the most startlingly truthful revelations.

Oh well.. we were joking around a bit. Look at my first post (#9), it gives the exact mathematical fraction of what a lick of sense is. :D

Would it not just be 20 licks?

*licks Shauna*

I will use my many licks of sense and figure this out. I suppose, logically that there would only be a few second's worth of sense in a lick of sense, because the saliva (or sense, metaphorically speaking) would evaporate quickly.

why would you feel compelled to post in this completely nonsensical thread three months after the fact?
