I'm very grateful, I just don't want attention from my looks, I want people to talk to me for my personality, I'm by far the most unshallow person ever, I don't think it should matter if you look pretty or not. I just have problems because in High school I never dressed to my 'full potential' and no one really talked to me, because I purposely made myself not as good looking just to see who would talk to me, and to keep people away. Now that I have to dress nice for work, actually care about my looks. I have to many guys trying to strike up conversations with me that I would really not want.

Note to any retarded dude: If you see someone and they're pretty, don't go up to them and try to talk, wait around and see what they're personalities like, and start up a conversation with anything other than "Hey, I like your style, Want to hang out sometime?"

It's a matter of opinion. I'm convinced that nobody should listen to their parent's opinion of their looks, though. Be it good or bad, it's not the opinion that will ever matter or one that anyone can ever consider reliable. Parents smother and punish their children with comments about looks, it's a fact of life. Don't pay attention.

I think I can look pretty good if I want to. If I really wanted to, I could probably look good by the standards of fashion, too. By doing something with my hair, getting contacts, wearing fashionable clothes. Do I care to do any of these things? No, I prefer to be comfortable with the way I look as it is. I think labelling people as good looking or bad looking is a bit unfair given it's so heavily based on opinion.

I stopped caring about looking bad when I was about 14 years old or so, but that doesn't mean I don't make sure my hair isn't sticking up at a weird angle before I go to work. I can't ever see myself styling my hair. I plan to get laser treatment, but only so I don't have to bother with glasses or contacts, not so I can look good (I believe I look better without glasses but many girls have told me I look better with them, so again, it's opinion). I could probably wear fashionable clothes, but I don't care to spend a lot of money in order to do so and I don't intend on buying clothes unless I need to. If I do need to buy clothes and I have a girl who wants to help me out at the time, though, then hey, I'm all for it. I'll have the final say in what I want to wear, though. Always. I have my own look, and I like it.

Overall, general feedback on looks from others, though, would put me somewhere around "Average but improving with age."

Interesting to read this back after all these years. Never got laser surgery, still never style my hair, although it's long now so sometimes I have to tie it up to avoid hair getting in my food or whatever. And yes, I can only assume my most fashionable clothes were indeed purchased by either a partner or myself with the assistance of a partner.

As for looks improving with age - from the neck up, yes, definitely. From the neck down, sadly my weight goes almost exclusively to my gut.
