Browser Unity. FF and IE don't hate each other. They just want people to accept their love. :(

PS: I use Firefox. But Browser Wars make me cry.

Firefox because IE sucks. Anyone who thinks IE doesn't suck is delusional at best and insane at worst.

IE on my Mac, Firefox on my Laptop.
The weird thing is, is that IE is faster on my Mac, and Firefox is on my Laptop. I prefer IE just a little bit more as Im more used to it and its slightly faster on my Mac than Firefox on my Windows.

I use faggotfox instead intersex explore-her. I mainly use it because firefox has nicer pop-up protection. Tabbed browsing screws me up still.

I use IE for work. I don't really notice a big function difference except that faggot fox blows at handleing gifs.

I love tabbing. With IE, I'd have 20 windows open, but now I have two windows open with like, 3 different websites tabbed on each.

In browser wars, it's always the child boards who suffer...

Firefox has a better logo than IE in my opinion.

On my PC, I'd say IE is better than Firefox, and on my laptop, I'd say Firefox is better than IE. So the browser I use depends on the computer I am using, although I do use both browsers on both computers.

At work it's IE, but at home it is 99% Firefox, except for a few sites that I need to use IE in order to make any changes to my Profile pages and I resent having to do it.

Yup. It's pretty rare for me to have fewer than 4 tabs open at once.

in regards to ed's comment about gifs, I've also noticed that animated gifs don't appear as quickly (animated) in firefox.

For example if I were to create an animated gif with like 0 seconds between frames, there will be pauses between frames in firefox but noticeably faster animation in IE.

Why is that? I'm curious.

I got addicted to tabbed browsing when I switched to FireFox. And... then, I realized Opera had made some adjustments. And not only do you get tabbed browsing, but it remembers your tabs. You can close it, reboot, open it. Everything you were looking at pops right back up. I am so in love. Plus its got good pop-up protection and seems pretty secure and compatible with everything it needs to be. But I don't surf porn sites or anything so I've yet to see how much abuse it can actually take.

Opera works very well, and wins - bu I still sue firefox -'Viva la Resistance!'

http://www.lintacious.com/opera/compare.php will give you a decent opera biased (But accurate) comparison

The same author (Opera User) writes about thier Firefox experience: http://www.lintacious.com/opera/firefox.php

Why are you saying Internet Explorer is at the same level as Firefox!? That's a load of rubbish. Anyone with common sense knows that Internet Explorer is extremely vulnerable to adware and spyware, and the majority of users who use a safe browser combined with good Internet security software aren't as exposed to such threats.

I got rid of Internet Explorer, because I got tired of all the ridiculous pop ups. I'm doing much better with Firefox now.

I use IE simply because my parents, who own this computer, don't see the difference between the browsers (despite my best efforts to tell them otherwise) and why we should get another browser since we have IE already. I'm not allowed to install anything on this computer without their permission and the other computer in our has slower internet (dammed wireless connection).

Your parents don't sound computer savvy enough to know. Just install it. Don't put any short-cuts to it on your desktop, and right after you install it, go to the start menu and open it, so it doesn't alert anyone that a new program is installed. They'd probably never notice :P If you're using XP, you could even have it only install for your user account... Be a rebel for security! Or not. Just suggestions :]
