Go back in time to when Final Fantasy IX was in development would you change anything?...Because I would.

I would've had this game delayed so I could gather a cast of voice actors.And I would've added an on/off switch in the video game menu so...If some people were not satisfied with the voice acting they could just turn it off.And they could spend the rest of their time reading through millions of text boxes.

The only thing I would change is expanding Garnet's white magic abilities list. I would've given her the abilities to cast Haste, Holy, Full-Life, Might, and Jewel, and Esuna, just like Eiko.

Let me get this straight you wouldn't want Square Enix...(Squaresoft back then.) to add voice overs to Final Fantasy IX, if you could go back in time to when they were developing that game? I mean voice overs although most of the time they're not very good make it easier for people to follow the story.The reason why I'm saying this is because Chrono Cross didn't have any voice overs and they had a long and confusing storyline that I couldn't get into...That and there was too many fricking bosses in that game!!!:tonberry: )

I would make the battles faster. Loading times in battles are just horrible in FF9, every action takes forever. And to make it even worse, the atb bar is the slowest in the history of Final Fantasy. FF8 had a nice battle speed, and unnoticeable loading times in battle.
Also, I would remove some details. At a low resolution like FF9 is running at, too many details just make everything seem like random noise. I think FF8 looked better, even though FF9 technically had better graphics.

some control over Trance! somebody actually like Trance? was it more like they had to learn how to live with it b/c i can't take fleeing 470 battles in a row, just to avoid Zidane getting 1 more hit and going into Trance over something as weak as a Carve Spider, xD.

Zidane: Thanks and sorry about that, anyway, I agree the battle introductions take forever, as wellas Ark's FMV, but it does help when you got Auto-Regen on everyone and you're low on HP. I think I could have done a better job on the script in some areas.

What would happen in the future is they would hook up at first. However after about two months they will get in an argument involving beer and Freya. Here is the argument.
"Why don't you love me anymore!" yells Garnet.
"Because your so stiff and can't defend yourself, I don't like you week people!" yells Zidane swigging his canteen.
"Youre an Alcoholic!" yelled Garnet.
"Well If you put out a little more maybe I wouldn't drink so much!"
"Your just a sloppy male pig!"
"And your a snobby stuck up princess!"
"I made you king by marrying you, you ungrateful monkey!"
"Thats it, I'm going back to Freya!"
"You've been seeing FreyA?" She yelled.
"At least I'm havn't been making moves on Quina! We don't even know if its a guy!"

FF IX should make that an alternate ending.

I happen to love FF IX, but I do agree a faster ATB would have been great. And I think they should keep Kuja looking the same, I don't know why but it seems to suite him very well. Aside from that voice acting could be fine, but I'm not really worried about that part.

Afterwards:

- Zidane and Garnet get married, and Zidane becomes king. But they won't stay long, in the castle;) , they'ld just go on more adventures.^^
- Steiner and Beatrix get married, and take care of Alexandria while Zidane and Garnet go on adventures.
- Eiko becomes princess of Lindblum (although it's a regentship:p ), but she'll travel alot (mostly to Mognet Central:) (and maybe the rebuilding of Madain Sari))
- Vivi becomes a proud dad, and will live in Black Mage Village.
- Freya and Sir Fratley become queen and king of New Burmecia.(although i'm not sure of the King of Burmecia was killed, though:confused: )
- Amarant gets together with Lani and will travel the world, not really settling themselves.:)
- Quina becomes head-chef of Alexandria Castle.

Zidane: Um no, in SSB, characters are evened out, even in DBZ fighting games, characters leveled out, it depends on who you're good with, I'd pwn with Zidane, everyone who picks Cloud would probably go for the same thing and I'd eventually know how to black and reverse everything; therefore, allowing me to use Zidane to pwn everyone with any character(except my wife, she'd probably pwn with Garnet). Cloud sucks, Omnislash makes FFVII too easy, and Zidane(as we've said many times) actually acts his gender. Zidane could easily feed Cloud his own ass using only his tail.

The only person on EoFF that has the right to say "me and Zidane(and/or Garnet) go way back" is Crossblades, he was a regular on the very first message board my wife and I were active on before that board crashed two years ago, anyway, yes, I think FFIX would have been awesome on the PS2, just as long as there's no voice overs, I really didn't like FFX because of the voice overs, it didn't work for me. You could tell for the most part the Japanese had a hard time making the English verison sound good, and it still didn't sound good.

I actually would have liked them to expand on the Freya/amarant thing. It seemed to me they had a connection, and it seemed Fratly, however much I liked him, was a little to far gone to be able to love Freya again.
