hear me RANT!! (at myself...)

last weekend i was competing in a mtb race. after just one lap in the trail my saddle (the seat) got loose on the seat post so i had to resing the race because there was no time to fix it and if i did fix it it would get loose again. i just chequed the race results and if i kept on going i was gonna get 6th place!! 6th place!! i wanna hang myself!! GGRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Didn't you check the saddle before you began to ride? Weren't there grooms who did that for you, else? I thought they always made you check the saddle and the stirrups.

Personally I think 6th place is pretty damn respectable. But look at it this way... next time you won't make the same mistake and you'll do even better.

well, yeah. but it acumulates 15 points compared to 20 in the first 5 places and 0 for quiters!!

It's a horse race. There can't have been all that many participants. 20 horses wouldn't end well :p

horse race?? read the first post! mtb race = mountain bike race!! yeah, i know the thingie you use to sit on the horse is called a saddle too but there is no "seat post" on a horse!
