At the start of disc 2 when you are Laguna in the Winhill village and you see Ellone for the 1st time as a child. Keep that in mind. Now, when you rescue Squall in the deseret prison and Zell or someone asks him 'did you cone here as Laguna in the dream world' Squall says no. But then when the White SeeD come to Balamb Garden to retrieve Ellone and Cid asks Squall and co to find her and then they go to the place where Squall has a fight with the G-Soldier Squall says "Ellone, that girl from the Winhill?". How did Squall know that if he didnt go to the dream world as Laguna in the Winhill, even if their stats were the same the story line follows that Squall didn't come to the prison as Laguna.

Um, what are you talking about?
Squall was junctioned to Laguna, who was in Winhill.
Zell was junctioned to Ward, who was in the D-district prison.

What I've always wondered about is how if Laguna buys Potions in Winhill, they wind up in Squall's inventory.

Lol, yes that puzzled me too. My guess was that because they can cast spells they could manage to materialize the things they dream about. But then I realised that that was just stupid

How did Zell know about Ellone is the one who puzzles me.

Didn't Laguna talk about her in one of the dream sequences Zell was involved in.

That's because Squalle DIDN'T go to the D-District prison as Laguna...he stayed in Winhill. There's your answer. He left Laguna's concsiousness (sp) before he arrived at D-District...if memory serves.

As for Potions appearing in Squall's inventory...that's purely a gameplay aspect. If the player runs out of potions in a flashback, they should be able to buy more...and it'd be a jip if they were taken away after the Laguna flashbacks, that's not just potions being taken it's well earned money!

actually you have a fixed amount of money at the start of a flashback sequence.

I agree, but gameplay is an external reason. I just can't think of an internal reason the game's plot would permit that to happen. It's up there with the guy who stands outside of Bartz' hometown in FFV and says: 'This is your hometown.' :greenie:

The faeries man, the faeries
But seriously, when Squall and co. are sent to Laguna's time, Laguna and co. suddenly gain all of their abilities, GFs, etc., which I'm only assuming they didn't have before. And while Laguna and co. are using Squall and co.'s abilities, any EXP and AP Laguna and co. receive, Squall and co. also receive when they come back to the present, that includes any items received from battle. So it only makes sense that the potions that Laguna buys during this sequence would also go back to Squall, since everything else does.

You have yet to explain how Zell knows about Ellone when the white seed take her from Garden.

When was it when Zell 1st mentions Ellone?

You have yet to explain how Zell knows about Ellone when the white seed take her from Garden.Squall could easily have told them what had happened in his last dream. They were all puzzled by the dreams, so they would've talked about their experiences. The dialogue would've just been pointless and boring to include in the game, though.

But didn't Squall say that there was no point in worrying about it? Because they had a mission or something they needed to keep their minds on? I reckon it was Selphie or someone that blabbed!
