axel always said he was the odd ball of the group so maybe he just made up a name haveing nothing to do with an anagram of riku. and for all anyone knows riku could ahve been turned into a heartless and we never know of it. if anyone payed attention to the 1st kingdom hearts youd have realized that they leave a lot of info out until the 2nd one so maybe with the 2nd one they leave stuff out for another continuation. so before you so quickly decide to tell me im wrong think of how unpredictable this game is. also i never said it was for sure jsut a possibility.

when sora used the soul eater to unlock Kairi's heart from his body Namine was made and so was Roxas. So it used Kairi' soul and sora's body which explains why Namine has the powers over Sora and people who know him memories.

Axel is the most AWESOME Organization 13 member!!! (not to mention the HOTTEST too!!! :kaolove2: :D ) And as someone said previously, he is the oddball in the group so it would make sense if he was the only one whose name stayed the same. I couldn't imagine him with any other name anyway!!! :nonono: And think about this, when he uses his weapon he technically is an axel. It may be spelled differently, but he still is an axle. I don't think it's a coincidence that his name is Axel, and when he holds his weapon it looks like wheels on an axle. :rolleyes2 Square created him to have his weapon that way on purpose after his name or vice versa. They probably switched the "e" and "l" so it wouldn't have the same exact spelling.

I strongly doubt that. I don't think KH3 is going to be related to the current plotline in any significant manner. The only returning characters I can think of would be Disney ones, and right now I wouldn't be surprised if SE went solo on the next Kingdom Hearts title without Disney characters, though that would seem sacrilidgeous.

You are not mistaken. But I don't think that that means the next one will not include Sora, Riku and Kairi. I think he just wants to deviate from the whole Sora in search of his friends and the king aspect of the story, which he kind of has to now. The next one just probably won't be related to anything like that.

they killed him off to add a note of sadness to the game. although i thought axel was cool and i thought it was sad when he died it made the storyline better. a sad note in a storyline of anygame makes a game more interesting.
