Depends. If I'm looking for a character who's just fun and easy to relate to, Spider-man. I've been a fan for a long time. But if I want some really high quality, dark, brooding storylines, Batman is the only way to go. He's got the best comics by far, and Batman Begins was absolutely stellar.

Batman. That dude is just so freakin cool. Can you imagine being a mugger in a dark ally robbing some lady and seeing a shadow in the shape of some kind of demon? Than turning around and just seeing a black shape with slits for eyes?

the Cap'n. before anyone questions me. This man took out the hulk in hand to hand combat and beat 59'11" Hank Pym to a blooody pulp.
He's also a charachter that can be applied to the older comic book reader. He represents the 30 year old man trying to stay hip and remain with the times.

Spidy and Sailor Moon.

Spidy because he is just wicked.

Sailor Moon because she is such an amazing person. Though one could say her ideals are naive, she still stands strong to them, often prooving her critics wrong. She truly embodies "if there is a will, there is a way" attitude.

Batman, as I used to love the 1960s version. I like the concept of a super hero without any superpowers.

Oh...I see. Well he's a nobody to me. There are better superheros out there.

Howard the Duck. Ok, he's more of an anti-hero than a real superhero, but he's still my favourite. He's a talking duck from another galaxy, but not only can he kick ass, he's also very clever, and cynical towards human society. The comic series is basically a vehicle for biting satire. (I am referring to the original 1970s series, not the new series).

Second best is Wolverine... after all, he's a Canadian superhero in an American comic, that's a good thing. Instead of being flawless like other heroes, Wolverine has many problems with facing his past, and he is also sort of anti-social. He also has a healing factor, admantium claws, improved senses... and of course super-strength.

silver surfer is to most powerful super hero of all time. this link http://www.silver-surfer.us/Top10list/Top10List.htm has an explanation from wizard magazine from 97 explaining how and why.

That said spawn is my favorite. If his power was unlimited and he knew how to use it fully he'd be the most powerful. And hes just the coolest http://limandao.free.fr/spawn1%20inked2.jpg
