Hello:
Yesterday, when I first saw a commercial for FFVII Advent Children, I got on the computer to check it out. I found thatthere where four others.
2004: Final Fantasy VII: Before Crisis
2005: Final Fantasy VII: Snowboarding
2005: Final Fantasy Advent Children
2006: Final Fantasy XII
2006: Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus
2006: Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core
I had thought I had every FF game. I can't figure how I missed ALL of these.
My question is: I was going to buy "advent children" today, but know that I see all the others, how important is it to play them in order?

Thanks for your time.

Welcome to the forums!

As to your question, it's not important at all. Advent Children is the stand alone sequel, I think.

Before Crisis and the Snowboarding game are both for Mobile phones.
I think BC might be out in America, not sure though.
Dirge of Cerberus is out in Japan, but nowhere else yet.
Crisis Core isn't out yet.

The only one of them that's been released in America is Advent Children, unless BC has been released.

The order of the games is

BC > CC > Last Order > FF7 > Advent Children > Dirge of Cerberus

At least, I think it is.

Personally, I'd say that so long as you play the original game first, then you'll be okay.

It's notable that there is also a short story of sorts that falls inbetween the original game and Advent Children titled "On the Way to a Smile". There isn't an official English translation, however you can find translations made by fans online (link (http://www.ff7citadel.com/compilation/ac_smile.shtml)). You might find it of interest.

I had thought I had every FF game. I can't figure how I missed ALL of these.

If those are the only FF games of have "miss", you have them all because only Advent Children is available here (Japan or not out yet for the others). I don't know if you know but Advent Children is a movie, not a game. So you have all available games. :p
