disappointing end

So I get to the end today and I have the best armours,weapons, and maxed out spells available. My stats are all up majorly, but all my characters have low HP (highest was 1700). I thoguht I was in for a battle. I literally hit the last boss 5 times and he died. What a waste of leveling. Now that I've beat it I can safely say it sucked. storyline, ending, leveling. Glad I played but its the very worst one. I played soul of rebirth too. Much harder but very short. only one real boss fight, but with all the dead guys and low stats

You have to admit the FFII ending is better than the FFI ending.

If you were playing DoS, then of course it wasn't really a challenge. :cat:

The final boss isn't really the challenge, the challenge is in making it to him. Anyway, try playing through without levelling up so much next time. Don't try harder, try smarter.

Double-kudos if you can get through the game using only the three basic elemental spells to attack.

yeah it was all a leveling mistake. I don't think I casted one spell....what a waste of getting ultima then getting it to level 15

I had one hell of a challenge beating him without the Blood Sword.

Although the Light Emperor was damn hard because I thought "Oh what the heck, im here, so lets see how tough he is"

I did beat him though..

Ultima Weapon, hardest boss in the game? O RLY?

ultima weapon is very easy. you just need a few basic spells and Hp around 1000-1700.
he either attacks one person and takes off a large chunk of their HP or does minimal damage to all of your party members. these can all be countered by minwus cure spell. my minwus cure spell was about level 12. it was a long battle because of not being able to do giant amounts of damage but quite an easy one. BTW is SoR only on DoS? overall ultima weapons difficulty is much overrated

Yep. And Ultima weapon is easy once you get the hang of how it fights.

There should have been a bonus dungeon in the main game too, where overlevelled characters can actually not be gods..
