Do you find it annoying when someone starts a thread then they don't even bother to look at it or post in it afterwards?

No. What could you find annoying about that? I don't think you could know if they did or didn't look at it afterwards.

I wouldn't cuz maybe they just don't know what to say afterwards. Maybe they wanna say something, but they can't think of what.

It depends on whether or not I am looking for further information from them for any reason. If they're posting about their life, looking for advice on something, and then I ask them a question so that I can get a better idea of what I should talk about... then I would hope that they would reply, yeah. But not many threads are like that, and most people who do make threads that require further replies from them actually do give replies. I can't think of a time that I've been annoyed because I can' think of a time that what I mentioned has actually happened.

It's not always their fault. Some people don't have Internet connections and have a lot of other stuff to do.

When people do that veins pop up on my neck and I begin lashing out at everything around me, I become destructive and kick cats wherever I go, I become so manically enraged that small children run from me on the street, until I eventually catch fire and have to go to hospital for a couple of months until the burns heal.

It took 30 posts for someone to realize that I haven't posted. It's a new record!!!!

I agree with you guys. It's only annoying when they're asking for help/opinions and they totally ignore you. I also don't like it when people do that because they make me feel dumb.

Then what would the be the point of making it then? I awlays check on my own threads and threads ive posted in. Its also rather silly to read a thread then never read it again, even though it has about 27 new posts in it.

When the thread starter has started a thread asking for help, etc. and then never responds back, yes it bothers me and it makes me want to close the thread. Otherwise, no. What does bother me is when some thread starters here feel that they should respond to every member that posts in their thread. This gets spammish and off-topic too fast too often. :cat:

Well I guess if they don't bother to look in it again, it's rather pointless to even start the thread, but...

If the thread starter doesn't post in his own thread it doesn't necessarily mean the thread starter has completely forgot about it- maybe he just wants to let other people talk.

Ideally a thread starts a topic that is self perpetuating and has no need of the original poster.

I made this thread as a joke. This thread asked if you get annoyed when someone starts a thread and they don't even post in it afterwards. I wanted to see how much posts it would take for someone to realize that I didn't post in this thread.
