Just curious if anyone here has any pet fish.

I used to a LONG time ago back when I was a little kid, and I'm considering getting a few again... it would really liven my room up... yes that's it.

So does anyone have any? If so what kinds are in your tank and how many you got? I'm so curious.

I had one once, but I realized one morning it doesn't do anything but sit there and take up my money. I tried to teach it tricks, but not so much with that. So I just gave it away >_>

I once had a pet fish who committed suicide.

I hear it's not an uncommon incident among pet fishes.

My fish is older than my brother.

I also had a fish who comitted suicide when I was a kid.

Yea, my old fish killed themselves too... thanks to my mother insisting I leave the top of the tank off when we left the house. I wanted to leave it on. When I came back there was fish and food everywhere. How they jumped high enough to hit the food is beyond me.

Anyway, I'm thinking about getting a small (3-10) gallon tank and putting a few in there. I want to get more than one kind if I can, as I think it's more interesting that way.

I used to have fish a long time ago, but no longer. I would love to get some more though. I want a whole tank of them. I like the little mollies, catfish and sharks. Awesome.

My sister had a fish. She got drunk once and filled its tank up with alchohol. She also forgot to feed it for almost two weeks. It didn't die until she started taking care of it.

Um, I had two goldfish and a silverfish when I was younger. I remember calling one of the goldish 'Goldy' (wow, srsly original) and calling the silverfish, um... 'White Lightning'. Oh dear.

I forgot what the other goldfish was called, but it didn't take long for them to die. Shame.

We use to when I was still in high school. Free Willy, Jaws and Moby Dick! Little goldfish we won at a fair and they survived for almost 2 years! My mum couldnt believe it, God they were so adorable!

I've got five. But I don't have any names for them.
I've got a Giant one, one with a hammer head, one with blinking eyes, an eel type fish and a normal gold fish.

My nana had a hammerhead one with a funny eye. He would just watch himself at the other end of the tank, all day! It was so funny, he must have thought there was 2 of him, bless :)

I have a fish. It doesn't really have a name. Might have been Tiger, I dunno.

Rye's fish is awesome.

I have a gold fish. Cody. About 7 years old now. :D I did have a dolly named Molly, but my mom said she wouldn't make it when she saw her losing her color. I also had another goldfish named Comet, but my cat decided to play with her, so she didn't make it...:(

Fish as pets always made me kind of sad. They just kind of sit there, and sometimes you can play with them by tracing your finger on the tank, but that seems even sadder. :/

I use to have fish. They lasted a little more than 5 years. Now they're in porcelain heaven

We must have had at least 50 fish in the last year or so. Those little fishies sure do hate life. We currently have one now. It's fat from all the food that I've fed it...now it floats on it's side (but it's not dead yet...I think).

haha, fish make me sick, they die so easily, I hate seeing fish die, bleh. Anyway, they take too much work to keep them alive:

-cool water
-clean water
-food
-new filters
-that liquid thingy to keep them alive
-and again, cool water:eep:

I had many fish when I was younger. I remember winning 2 at the fair. One was ugly. So I killed it with a tea cup...

I still feel guilty. Seriously.

Currently, we might be getting new fish.

I used to have two fish called Fred and Barney. When I was a child, I remember holding a little funeral service for them after they died. I buried them, made a little cross, upon which I inscribed a personal message to each fish, to put on top of the burial ground and gave a little speech and everything! I was too young to really grasp what death was all about though.

Good times.

 That was beautiful. Although it sounds a little like a scene from Kill Bill Vol 2.

We had fish all the time when I was a kid. My sisters kept killing them though. Once they thought the fish were thirsty so they poured juice in the tank...

I don't have fish now. I've got two cats, one of which ate my last fish. So, no, no pets that double as cat food. :p
