Help!

I have a major problem with my RM2K3. All the fields, besides the map field, work OK. It's just the map field ceeps glitchin', even during story events! What am I to do?

It lags during story events and when you walk the maps. The menus and the battle are OK. I tried reinstaling my Maker, but it only made my font look OK at last.
