Unexplained hole in Trabia

Can anyone explain what created the big hole in the Trabia area which whenever the garden is piloted near it says something about the gauge going crazy

this has confused me for many years

It was probably the last Lunar Cry, which was mentioned to have taken place in Trabia. (Or the one before last, I forget; if it's not that, then it has to do with the north pole of the world.)

yes, its the result of a past lunar cry. In the Laguna Dream Sequence where Laguna and Kiros are doing the movie and have to fight the Ruby Dragon, you can see it happening when they run to the top of the montain trail.

i agree.... but there hasn't been a similar hole in esthar when the lunar cry happened..hmmm

Every Lunar Cry is different--besides, in Esthar, there was the Lunatic Pandora to shake things up.

I thought that the last Lanar Cry happened in the Centra Area in the bottom of the map? But this hole has kept me wonderin for many years so any new theories would be appreciated.

There has been more then one, there has been any number of Lunar Cry. Yes the Centra where victims of a Lunar cry that destoryed there civiliations leaving only ruins (that the gardens are built on) but its not the last one. Im going to say with certainty its a past lunar cry crator, or a missle that missed...

The Trabia lunar cry was the last one, (before the Esthar one) they have been going on for centuries or rather since the dawn of time. Centra was hit by a huge lunar cry several hundred years ago but that as far as I remember did not wipe out the centra, to be honest no one could answer that (except maybe puu-pu). However the Gardens were built upon the remains of Centra bomb shelters as Cid refers to them.
