Although they have jumped leaps and bounds over the past several years in terms of making characters overall bodies look more realistic. But when the camera focuses in on a characters face you realize how far away these models are from looking life-like.
Many times when cameras focus in on characters faces the expressions seem dull and lifeless alot of times. And while their is good lip movement there is virtually no cheek movement to go along with it (which often makes the close-ups look pretty fake).
So will the ps3 be able to fix this problem with facial close-ups of the characters that the ps2 graphic engine seemed to have. Or will facial expressions probably look awkward for the ps3 games as it did for the ps2 games.
Because I think it kind of made it a bit more difficult to get into the characters while you were playing the game when they had so many facial close-ups during the games but yet the facial expressions on the characters just appeared awkward.
