PC or Console?

Does anyone have any opinions on which, and if, it is better on the PC, ps2, or xbox 360? What would you recommend?

Guess it depends really, I prefer computer though, simply for the versatilty towards the PS2 or Xbox. Keybord is essential with all the macros and such, and I just feel the playstation isn't right for that type of setup, seeing as a playstation is usually setup so you play on a coutch or a bed, or something similiar, but if you play at a desk or something, its simply more costly with the hard drive you need to buy for the PS2 to be able to go online and all that stuff.

Xbox, well, I guess its the same as PS2 really, though I've always wanted to try using a controller for the consules, I still think I'd prefer mouse and keyboard.


The computer has alot to offer, though, can limit your computer use, unless you use a windower(which, is a third party program, and can get you banned if you're cought.)



However, depending on your situation, though I'm not exactly sure how it works entirely on playstation or xbox, screen shots, and the like, I'm not sure if you can even save them. It basically comes down to what you want, do you want to sit at your computer with a computer infront of you, and being able to see nothing but FFXI, or do you want to be able to set up a area for your keyboard and mouse next to a chair or bed and relax, while playing it on a bigger screen, and having access to your computer if you wanted to look up something on the internet without having to logout of FFXI?

My final outcome for the comparison in my situation would be Playstation2 simply so I can use my computer, talk on msn with friends, while still enjoying the game I want to play, not to mention having it on a much bigger screen is always a plus.

Remember though, things change comparing a computer specs to a console(ps2 and xbox atleast) meaning graphics and resolution changes will make things not as "amazing" as it could be on the computer.

It's easier to play on the PS2. The only reason why I use the PC version is because of windower, which I'm not supposed to use. :x

Yep. You don't HAVE to, but it would take forever to type without one.

Back when I still played, I used PS2. It was easier for me...I had a junk computer, so with the PS2 I didn't have to worry about it lagging.

I prefer using PC, don't like playing PS2. I guess it's cause I need windower. ;x

I agree on the part about windowers, I just didn't talk about it _that_ much because I don't think talking about third party programs for FFXI is allowed here, so I left that out for the topic starter to not get in trouble with it until he learns about them on his own.

i prefer PS2 because i can lay back in it. it prevides more comfort to lay in a laZboy than a computor chair.

and a simple USB keyboard will allow u to type on PS2.
