Wait... how can you actually be slapped by a hammer (unless the hammer has sprouted hands and seeks revenge from constant hammering)? You can be hit, whacked, smacked, struck, thumped, beaten, battered, knocked, hammered and abused by a hammer, but not slapped.

hmm well this depends the poll said "being hit with a hammer" or "having a wrench thrown at you" but the post then said "would you rather be hit with a hammer or a wrench", so which is it? if it is as it is in the polls "having a wrench thrown at you" then being hit with a hammer is definitely more sucky as a wrench is something you see comming and at any cost can avoid, I would rather crack 2 ribs and fracture my arm than be hit by a wrench as a large wrench can be lethal.

However if the question is what sucks more to be hit with a hammer or to be hit with a wrench then I would say they equally suck depending on the body part hit as being hit in the head with either is pretty much asking to die. If though I was being hit in the hand or foot then I would say the hammer sucks more as there is a better chance of critical damage to the limb or extremity when hitting with a hammer.
