About a decade ago all my friends were talking about their Playstations and N64's. The only thing I had was my families computer. We had some pretty awesome games that just thinking about them makes me long to play them again.

We had Beast, Double Dragon, Xenon, Accolade car game, Golf

Did anyone ever play these or any other olden games?

Well, I did use to have some ancient games for my Commodore 64. I had Robocop, The Smurfs, Diane Sisters, and many more. I miss my Commodore 64! ><

i used to have the very first one and this cartridge with like 52 games, xD. i didn't love them all, but i missed all these:

1) Balloon Fight 2) Donkey Kong 3) Mario Bros/Super Mario Bros 4) Bomberman 5) Duck Hunt 6) Tetris
7) Kung Fu 8) Mappy 9) Battle City 10) Popeye 11) Ice Climber 12) Pinball 13) Galaga and some more but i can't remember their names, xD

i was able to play some of these classics for a while about two years ago when my brother bought a system with a controller similar to the GameCube.

The closest thing I have to an ancient game is that brown pong machine with the switch-like controllers and "Radioshack" written on the front. o_o

Elite, Starglider, Lemmings, Populous, Dune 2: The Battle For Arrakis, Mappy, Manic Miner, Pac-Man, Double Dragon, probably a few more. I had an Amiga of some sort, cassette-loading, there were a couple of games I played on that. Burning Rubber was one, it was basically Outrun.

The most ancient I own is Secret of Monkey Island. I don't know if 16 years is ancient per se, but its a total classic. :)

Dark Forces. Now that's an FPS if I ever saw one.

I've being playing Daggerfall a lot lately, if that counts. It's also the cause of my chronic depression.

My first ever game console was a Sega Master System 2, with Alex the Kidd built in. I loved it, but sucked hard at it XD

According to ancient games that I OWN right now, the oldest is Pokemon Blue...

EDIT: Wait a miute, I have Wolfenstein 3-D, the complete version...now THAT is an FPS

Just don't forget the origional Doom. That game is still more fun today than any modern FPS is.

All my Atari 2600 and NES games are probably considered ancient and if Genesis games are seen as ancient, then throw them in as well.

Yeah Beast and Double Dragon were amazing. Also Spy Vs Spy, Tetris and Alex the Kid were classics too. The most ancient ones I own are Mario 64, Perfect Dark 64, Goldeneye 64 and Secret of Monkey Island and LeChucks Revenge.

I fail to see how Doom is better than modern FPSs.

How about Intellvision, which had the first ever Baseball video game, simply titled, Baseball. It's a classic. It also had fun games like NightStalker, Lock N Chase, Advanced Dungeons and Dragons(loved it), Astrosmash, Space Invaders, Carnival. Wow I can't even name all the games I have for that thing, but there were a number of good ones.

Test Drive *number*? :P We had Test Drive 2 on our 386. We still do, come to think of it, just that no one has booted it in years.
