FF7 and ati 9800 pro

I can't seem to enable FF7 in anything other than software rendering mode with a resolution of 640x480. Is there an update or patch that will help the game recognize my video card? Everything works fine so far but the ingame graphics as well as the video is a bit blurry. Runs in XP smoothly with the patch.

I have a hi-res patch on my PC that I can email to you, if you like. It works fine for me. (I don't use windows XP)
