about draw

so when i'm drawing spells on a battle, the right and central character draw about 7-8-9 spells everytime, while the character on the left draws from 1 to 5

is this normal?? i switched this character and it keeps the same ratio with another one

Just sounds like a crazy coincidence to me... I believe you draw more if you have more junctioned or something... If you have a lot stickied to a stat you should be getting 9-ish no matter what. But no matter the case, your position in battle does not effect it.

Generally the higher your Magic stat the more spells you can draw. From my experience it also compares your level to that of the level of the monster (there are many instances during the game where your level doesn't affect the monster level).

Maxx is right - the higher the character's Mag stat, the more they can Draw from an enemy. The level of the character and monster does not matter. However, it is more difficult to Draw higher level magic. For instance, if your Mag is sufficient to Draw 9 Fires per go, you may find that you're only able to Draw 4-5 Firagas.

The Mag stat of the character does not affect the number of spells you can Draw from a Draw Point in the field or on the World Map.

That might explain my findings, since higher level monsters = higher spell levels = harder to draw. Usually when I play FF8 I keep my levels at their base levels until I've gotten Bahamut + Cactuar later on.
