Resting at Inns

While playing FFX today, something dawned on me; throughout the entire game, I never really checked into an Inn. So I was wondering, is thier anything special I'm missing out on?

Inns are only really used for plot events, although the option to rest at one is still available. Inns are rather useless, considering the nature of Save Points (free healing).

Actually you had to. In Kilika you "wake up" at an Inn and in Mi'hen you have to stop at Rin's, same for Thunderplains... So you do check in 3 inns at least

actually u dont need to rest at the thunder plains inn, u can walk straight passed it, but u'll miss a plot event if u do.

I might sound kind of clueless, but what no save sphere challenge? Do you get something extra by doing it?

NSS is not one of the challenge requirements I'm familar with, but I guess you just play through the game without examining a save sphere. You don't gain anything from it, its just something you choose to do yourself to make the game more difficult.

hey...if you're playing without using save spheres then you're either
a. not getting very far
b. wasting money and electricity
c. have too much time on your hands

yes, there is a certain event in the Thunder Plains inn. don't miss out on it, the story isn't worth a skip. but Final Fantasy VIII is more unforgivable :tongue: .

You miss out on 3 seconds of resting music, thats about it.

When you rest at an Inn, your party and Aeons are healed, without the game being saved.

i never really bothered to use the inns either! when you get free healing at ss then it was pretty pointless!!!! i did use the ones that advanced you in the story but that wa about it!

Um, the truth is you can still use Save Spheres to heal yourself without saving. Inns are more inconvenient since they are limited across Spira and take a while to activate. :)

i thought they were actually a nice add to the game, it gave it the opportunities that u would normally have if u were actually staying at an inn, cuz u wouldnt jus go in to sit in the lobby the whole day, that would be pointless, but square-enix added a subtle touch of reality into that, which is more than needs to be said, but its true
