I think we are all be the same, we defend what we enjoy. But I would have to say the 7 and 9 fans are the most. Its like if you liked it, they like you. If you hated it, they hate you. If you liked it and disliked it, they still hate you and demand an answer why you cant love it as much as they do. From personal experince. You feel like shouting at them to back the hell off and allow others to speak their piece, but some just would rather stay in their perfect world and not listen to others.

The answer is FFX-2 fans and anti FFX-2 alone. FFX alone fans are slightly more reasonable, assuming they don't think that FFX and FFX-2 should be grouped together as one game, which is an absolute lie. FFX rocked, and FFX-2 sucked. Many [FFX-2 fans and antis] don't listen to reason or cannot support their arguments/opinions.
Although, FFVII fans can be dangerous and painful. But at least FFIX fans can defend themselves properly. Of course, the true answer would be FFVI fans. Don't mess with Kefka.
I wouldn't be purprised if the CKs might close the thread, as it could be considered bashing.

Point them out to me seriously. When I voiced my opinion on that game in that section, it was ripped apart and I was personally attacked for not liking it. And I had made a thread beforehand asking the mods if I could post there. That I wasnt breaking any rules, just posting my opinion and I was told that was fine and to warn if people did snap back. Which of course they did and even after a mod stepped in, they continued to question my presence in that section.
I posted a lenghty post on why I did and didnt like it, yet it wasnt good enough, although another member had posted why they liked and disliked it and they accepted that members opinion, but refused mine still. Some can take it and accept others opinions, but some people in that section need to allow others to speak.

You know, maybe this will get me banned (I'm not scared) but I'll say it anyway.
People who say they are fans of a particular FF game and rip otehrs apart who don't share their opnion or hate their preciosu game, I don't call them fans.
I call them fann00bs.
With the VII fann00bs it's always like "Oh all hail teh great Sephiroth! Hail Cloud's big Sword! What? This game has no bigswords and Sephiroth, it's bad!"
I have not seen too much IX fann00bs, but I suppose they exist.
VI fann00bs is true: it's all: "Hail Kefka or be hated by us!"
And on and on. But I can clearly always see two kidn of fann00bs facing each other: teh VII and IX fann00bs. Strange... Maybe they can't stand that Trance Kuja is more powerful than Safer Sephiroth, whatever...

I'm a FFIX fanboy, but I never let it get personal. I think that I'm more than capable to stand my ground. My motto is: "If you don't like it, don't play it. But if you do like it, accept the fact that others don't."

Elpizo, same as you, I saw you in one of the thread in First Generation forum, you bash FFVII and FFVIII. I'm sorry if I hurt you somehow.
I'm FFVII fan but I do like FFIX.
I don't think Cloud and Sephiroth are the greatest. Zidane make better protagonist than Cloud but I really like Omnislash. Kefka make better villain than Sephiroth, it is because Kefka's cool and awesome.
Where's FFVIII?

No, I do not bash them. I dislike them, there's a difference. But I give reasons why I dislike them.
fann00bs are people who bash otehr FF gamesand don't give good reasons.
godo news if you think I bash VII. I just bought VII. I'm replaying it, because I think I msised something on my first playthrough. Now I'm enjoying it very much, I just live the 'Still more Fighting' track.
It's still just a normal game though, nothing to be uber-exited about.
You did not hurt me. You made a judgement over me, but I tried to prove you are wrong. I'm not a fann00b. If I dislike, I always give reasons. :)

Compare their arguments to FFVII fann00bs or FFX-2 fann00bs. I apologize that you got ripped apart, but that's how it is, if you looked at it objectively. But seriously, they are better (barely) than the FF7 and FFX-2 fans; by far. Those guys fly off the hook within seconds.
Now I never said I was a fan of FFIX (it's not one of my favorites, nor did I find it had a great plot), but from an objective view, they can defend themselves for real longer than others, rather than having to resort to personal attacks within a post. 5 or 6, perhaps. But that's still double the time. That increases the chances of a coherent anti-defense post by nearly 25%.
Compare your thread, to the "how is x-2 bad?" thread. Ohh, no, that was bad. I'm still convinced that half of them didn't really read my posts, but what can I do about it? I did what they did, and got yelled at. What a Catch 22.
Where's FFVIII?
FFVIII fans are too busy yelling at each other because none of them actually understand that time travel does not work, and they actually think that they should waste time by trying to understand what is going on.
Anyways, fann00bs are fun to make fun of. We should make an anti-fann00b club and stick it in our siggys.

You're talking about the likes of Future Esthar, I believe. You can be like the majority of us FFVIII fans, and just enjoy the game for what's given in the game.

On this site specifically I would have to say ff7 fann00bs. At least on other forums if a plot hole is pointed out the fanboys will for the most part accept that it is one given the proof. On here someone could misspell Sephiroth and would probably get torn apart for it.

Yeah, I'm one of those people who easily gets offended when FFIX gets bashed. Same with FFX. Those were my introduction into the FF world that got me into writing articles, and searching out every inch of knowledge about Square's famed FF series. Those are my 2 favorite games of all time.

I don't think FFVI fanatics are that bad, I do love FFVI far more than any other FF game, but I don't see them ripping anyone apart, except for FFVII fans and people who've never touched a pre-Sony FF game. Honestly that does annoy me too, people who haven't played any of the older games, you should give them all a shot, but that's just my opinion. FFVII fans are the worst, because there are so many more of them, Square-Enix even knew this and took advantage of it.

Zidane: I don't mind admitting it, I'm the grandaddy of all vicious fanboys! I enjoy FFI, FFIV, FFV, and of course FFIX(no /xxx.gif/xxx.gif/xxx.gif/xxx.gif), but I can get very frustrated with some people, not all of them. Just those who continue to make one-liner "ff* sucks!1!1!" posts in the same thread and managing to get away with it. Most times here thankfully, that doesn't happen, the CKs are right there to stop those who get away with that. Also what bugs me is when FFIV fanboys(even though, they're not mention in the thread) try to say FFIX's ending is a copy of FFIV's. Well, I guess there's some sort of alternate ending in FFIV I don't know about where Golbez somehow gets trapped at the bottom of the Tower of Bab-il and Cecil has to go rescue him before the machine roots destroy him, and Cecil is never heard from until the last thirty seconds of the game, some time later in game time, where Rosa somehow manages to become queen and Cecil joins a group of Pub dancers(since there's no plays in FFIV) and Rosa recognizes him when they come to Baron. I'm sorry, I guess that's a flame towards FFIV but that's my biggest pet peeve and it makes me one of the worst of the vicious fanboys.

First off, I didnt really like ff 8. it was my second ff but i felt that the story line was kind of lacking after ff7, my first.
Second, If i had to chose between ff IX and X i would have to chose X.
Why: now i did play ff 9 first, but i enjoyed what seems like the greater amount of control in the developement of chaaracters in ff 10.
Third: I played X-2 after X and i hated it, after the story of X ff X-2 seemed to me almost like a dress-up party. Sorry if i offend everybody but thats just how i feel about the games.

FFVI fanpersons are pretty bad too, to be fair.
But really, I'm like an omni-FF fanboy, so it's kinda confusing. I even defend games that have fanpersons I don't really enjoy.:p Ah well. It doesn't really matter anyway. I do genuinely love the games, without Sephy/Cloud yaoi/over-complicated time theories/not understanding that X is better/aren't crystals neat?, so I guess I'm okay. :cat:
Edit: Okay, in all seriousness, I don't really like the people that act like FFVII is the only FF, or haven't touched a pre-PS1 game. But I don't like the people that hate the modern games because they believe the classics are untouchable. (Or people that complain about strange things and don't try genuinely enjoying something.)
But really, I've put it all behind me.
Well, I still try making sense of the time-travel theories, I'm guilty of that. :cat:

FFVII fans practically define fanboy/girl. Yes, it's a cool game. No, it is not the best game created, nor is it the essence of Final Fantasy.

X fans are okay, they're usually level-headed to some degree. Same with IX fans because they probably enjoy all of the games. VII and X-2 fans are the worst. I don't even begin to understand why people like X-2's story, it was weak and downright sad. VII I understand is a good game, but let's face it, IV, V, VI, IX, and maybe VIII on a good day are all better than VII in my opinion. And Sephiroth sucks. Advent Children Fanboys/girls are even worse than all of the above. The story was very confusing, and more than half of the time it made no sense at all. The only good part about AC was the fighting, and the motorcycle scenes were just plain silly. I mean, Cloud got shot right between the eyes and again in the back and he still lived. That's better than Fiddy Cent could ever hope for.
