End Boss Battle... What level were you?

so, what level were you when you finished the game? im about to fight lich and im level 68, thinking of going up to about level 70 before i go to fight them :cool:

waste of time. I have all my characters at level 99 and there doesn't seem to be any limit on exp

About 50-60. Because i didn't know where to go on my first playthrough, i spent a lot of time leveling up fighting random battles. I found Necron hard the first time.

First time I was about 45 all round. Zidane probably higher because I ermember fighting loads in Ipsen's castle with just him (couldn't find Amarant). So yeah, I think Zidane was 52 and the rest were 45-46.

My other times they're usually 70ish. I just owned Grand Dragons all the time for Freya's yummy yummy move :D

well, it all depends, the first time I played I just wanted to play it as quickly as possible, and it was really hard.

after that, I try all the side-quests and then now my levels are 66ish or more (a lot more). Which makes Trance Kuja quite easy now. :(

72 for first time to beat Necron. 2nd time onwards it was completing most sidequests, including beating Ozma. First took a long time levelling up by fighting Memoria's beasts to Level 99. Beat the rogue eidolon at that level and the rest of the final bosses.

80s to 100 every time. i like to level up alot in all the ff's it makes it last longer!! :P

I was around level 40 - 50 or so. FFIX was one where I was able to do good at pretty low levels, and I beat the final 2 bosses on my first shot. Great enemies, great ending, great game.

around level 65. with curaga the last boss goes down much more easily. it may take a few tries but with curaga youll eventually get to the end.

Hmmm the last time i played it i think Zidane was at level 72...the rest of the characters were between level 60 and 70 i think Eiko was only in level 53 and Quina was at level 54 or something like that, i didn´t use them very much.

My levels are usually around mid sixties to seventy. I usually like to level all the way up on at least one play through of any FF, but I probably would have added another 50 hours of gameplay if I were to try this on IX. All of the other games I've played through: VII, VIII, X... all have places to level up really quickly so what's up with IX, I wonder?

Yeah, there are the Yu's or Xu's or whatever on Vile Is., but they get much too annoying after awhile.

Has anyone tried the equipment boosts? I did it once; I kept my levels as low as I could until I got the good equipment. I added quite a few points, but ultimately it didn't seem to make that big a difference, not considering the effort of running from battles and fighting bosses at low levels.

Zidane was right over 50, everyone else was right under. Lich killed me alot though, I eventually got lucky and he didn't use Meteor.

Everyone was around 30-40 because I didn't level them up. I couldn't stay awake throughout most of the game to level them up =P

I was level OMFG!!!!. It's the one just after 99. It's great, cos any monster that challenges just legs it. So Necron was easy peasy. He Grand Crossed himself and got KO. Poor guy.
