Does anyone else go into a gigantic slump at school/college by the middle of May? Ironically, I've been doing the best I've been doing all year, this quarter, when this is the month I tend to leave all my homework for my first period Photography class (I already handed in all my projects already, so I get to laze the rest of the year and use that time as a bit of a study hall.) I think the slump is even worse due to me being extremely exhausted and due to missing so many days these past two weeks because of school trips and such. :p

Also, does anyone slump the whole year and kick into ultra scholastic mode during 4th quarter/end of the year?

Every year at school on the first day I said that this would be the year I worked hard. No more slacking around. I worked hard for about the first week and then fell to the bottom of the chart. From then till November it was all slumping.

I tend to be at my best during the 1st (fall) quarter, at my lowest during the 2nd (winter) quarter, then semi motivated again by the 3rd quarter (spring).

Same thing that happens to me.

I do the lowest during 2nd quarter also. 3rd quarter is usually a slight improvement, but 1st and 4th are best for me, even if I do slack then.

My "slump" begins in September.

I have a couple weeks of decent work, then I stop caring.

Spring semester is USUALLY the one I get As in............But this year..it's the OTHER way around. I got As in the fall semester....and I'm sure i'll just get Bs this time around...:mog:

I don't know. I think I do the same thing as Meat Puppet. Once in awhile I get short bursts of working real hard and stuff, but it never lasts. This last month has been the worst though. I'm not helping myself any by taking some days off from school, but I'm exhausted. I'm done. This is the time I should be studying like crazy but fuck it I don't care. I manage.

Yeah, for me, Winter Quarter is the worst....I have no motivation ot get up and go to class when it's so cold out. MY motivation is extremely tied to the weather, and now that it's nice again, I'm getting a lot more work done in a lot less time. Unfortunately, I'm too busy to afford to go into a slump right now.

I always had year slumps rather than quarter slumps. Like I would just not care at all for my junior year, but then senior year it would be back to caring.

I've been in a slump since 4th grade.

One man's slump is another man's mountain. Especially if you're exploiting misery.

Same here. I just get whiter and fatter.

Fall seems to be my worst semester. By spring, I do really well, but when finals come around, I get senior-idis and stop caring. And then finish the year with As and Bs.

I usually do good in all quarters until the last quarter...when I start to slack off :p

1st semester, beginning = good
1st semester, end = slacking, but the good in the beginning covers it ;)

2nd semester, beginning = uber slack
2nd semester, end = desperately trying to bring it back up and failing :x

The current slump is nearly horizontal now.

(two days)

I have two weeks and three days left and I'm totally feeling slackbutted.

Most stuff is out of the way, though, 'cept exams.

I don't really have a slump. Last year I got straight As for the first quarter of the year and then Bs, Cs, and Ds shortly afterwards. But that was a one year thing. I would try to get good grades if I didn't already have a pathetic cumulative GPA.

I didn't slump. I managed to maintain my academic mediocrity without even trying. It was getting top grades that required the effort last summer.

What are you talking about? The end of the year is at December. :( Crazy American's who go up a grade in the middle of the year. It makes no sense.

Oh, and I do a Meat Puppet. Say that I am gonna work hard, but by the second week I failed that.
