Favorite FF Couple?

Who is your favorite FF couple and why?

Personally, I've always been drawn to Squall/Rinoa - I think Rinoa really brought out a side of Squall he'd always denied in himself and helped him to trust other people. And Squall taught Rinoa how to be more self-sufficient in turn. They took their own strengths and gave them to one another to counteract their weaknesses. I thought they made a beautiful couple.

I'm such a sucker for Zidane and Garnet! I think they're so freakin' adorable together. I love Zidane's honesty towards Garnet, even if it gets him in trouble sometimes.

Actuall, heres an FF VII spoiler, Tseng isn't killed by Sephiroth as shown in Advent children, it was only a misunderstanding. So Tseng and Elena would still work. I beleive they fixed it in the FF VII comp version so you knew Tseng was alive.

I voted for Squall and Rinoa. I was in the military (I guess Squall was too) and while I was there I used to date a girl who could have been a near dead ringer for Rinoa. Man I first played the game after I got out the Navy and saw Rinoa my jaw dropped and thought "Did Square base her Ami?" Maybe that's my they are my favorite couple. Plus Final Fantasy VIII is my my favorite FF game of all time. Anyway I would have picked Tidus/Yuna as a close second.

I liked Squall and Rinoa the most. She made him open up from his toughness and I just loved it when he would do anything for her. My fav scene was him carrying her along the railtracks.

Zidane and Dagger/Garnet: Perfect ending between the 2 as they end the game wrapped in each others' arms and she proves how much she likes him by saying: "Ahh F*** it!" when she drops her crystal necklace and decides to embrace Zidane instead.

Selphie and Irvine...ugh, shoot me. If I was Irvine, I would have actually been of some use in the game, pleased everyone by shooting Selphie.

Squall and Rinoa. Squall was introverted and anti-social until he meets Rinoa, who begins to draw him out of his shell. The story surrounding this couple is slightly more complicated and emotional, whereas some of the other love stories were either shallow or not brought out well enough.

The Zidane/Garnet couple and the Tidus/Yuna couple are similar in many ways. Garnet and Yuna are both summoners, Zidane and Tidus are both people with carefree and optimistic attitudes.

Garnet was the shy princess type, but after meeting Zidane, she began to express herself more and make her own decisions.

Yuna was quiet and serious about her duties as a summoner at first, but due to her encounter with Tidus, she started to base her actions more on what she believes in. An example of this was the battle against Yunalesca, Yuna refused to call on the Final Aeon but instead wanted to find new hope for the people of Spira. A new way to bring peace to Spira without anyone having to die. Yuna is so completely different from her previous self in FFX-2.

Overall, the main similarity between these two couples is that, it was the carefree and optimistic attitudes of the male protagonists that inspired the lead female characters to change so drastically.

Their relationship was the most realistic and emotional, and both characters developed throughout the game from each other. [especially Squall] Final Fantasy VIII is just an amazing and beautiful game!!! :heart: :kaolove2: :up:

Zidane: FFX-2 doesn't give us very much of Shuyin and Lenne to work with, but their deathscene being shown during 1,000 Words was the best thing FFX-2 had, and I didn't like FFX-2 at all. I thought it was cool that they were together and as long as they were together, they didn't fear death.
