to kill yu yevon in under 3 minutes hit him with zombie attack then use a pheonix down on him.

This works. Why they would do this for the last boss i dunno but i did it so yeah.

still when even a basic attack hits for 99,999 it never got very hard, I seem to remember kicking Yu's ass in all of 1 maybe 2 hits, and those could have been with me defending to make it drag out longer, Jecht took all of 3 and my aeons 1 each. Give me a challenge!

If you want a challenge then don't over power yourself *shrugs*

I didn't have a single celestial weapon when i completed it. Or any of the secret aeons.

There are challenges in the game you could take.... or you could simply challenge yourself

Really. I mean, of course that strategy works. But okay whatever, I guess we can compile a list of all the ways we can humiliate Yu Yevon! I have a save right before that battle so I can try out each and every one of these. I will report back on which I like best.

Try this. When I first try to fight the Original, I was surprised to see each hit cause 99999 damage 0_o

But now....My Valefor alone can take on Ultima Buster.
My Kimahri on the otherhand nearly kill Ultima Buster but was eliminated!

Since Yu Yevon/Aeons are a story battle, yeah, it was pretty easy. Jecht is the final boss.

And quite frankly, even without hidden Aeons/Ultimate Weapons, it isn't really that hard. *cough*Mix*cough*

Just hit him once and he's a smashed bug. I souped up all my characters before going into the final boss fights, for no real reason. They were cake with Braska's Final Aeon going down in 2 hits, and Yu Yevon in 1.

For me i just have him kill himself, or i have Auron at a stat of like 150 attack plus HIs legendary wepon which kills him in one hit

I think Yu Yevon was more like the final Sephiroth boss on 7. Plus, since you always have auto-life it really does make the battle simple.
I think that Braska's Final Aeon is the real last boss. Yu Yevon and the Dark Aeons is just something Yuna has to do in order to complete the game.

I'm pretty sure that you can't use Yojimbo at that time. You eliminate him when Yu Yevon enter his body.

Yup Yojimbo and all other aeons are outta there, personally I think killing him off with Kimarhi's suicidal limit break (Self Destruct) can be quite funny it's kinda saying "Hey you know, I'll just do a Dion from FFL3 (the old gb games rock!) and commit suicide to defeat you." Kinda messes up X-2 since Kimarhi should technically be dead and somehow I fail to see Cid having a cloning machine.

Another way to humiliate Yu would be to go in with the characters original weapons, this means no sensors (not that he isnt immune to them) and no break damage limit on your attacks. Unfortunately with 255 of every stat you won't be able to deal less than 8999 - 9999 damage but still pretty humiliating to be beaten by a normal weapon after all the other options.

Alternatively, repeatedly power-break one of your own party, kill off the other two and then simply using the loner limit charge technique kick their asses. I recommend Kimarhi or Auron for this one.

Jecht wasn't that hard and Yu Yevon was embarrassingly pathetic, I don't care if he was just a story boss and not considered as the real final boss. They could've made him look a little cooler too. I simply used reflect and then beat the crap out of him, got the job done.

You know, if you press triangle, yu yevon uses gravilja every time (no curaga). It does 9999 damage to itself. After a few times he's dead XD It's so easy. I watched my friend killing him in his No sphere grid challange.

I always take my time. The backround music is my favorite in the entire game and you have auto-life on the entire time after defeating Jecht so you wont lose.

I guess my main prob. is that I don't have enough patience. . .Still it's good advice for people who don't power up the sphere grid. .(Moi, for instance)
