Jack Thompson is a notorious anti-gaming lawyer-cum-evangelist who spends most of his time attempting to gain "decency in the media". It started with understandable complaints against games such as Grand Theft Auto et al, but has kind of gotten out of hand. He's also been anti-rap, anti-gay, anti-porno and anti-drink. General opinion states he's a bit of an arse. I'm inclined to agree.

Eh, Jack hopped aboard the "I'm all the sudden anti-game now too!" right along with Hilary Clinton when the GTA3 craze took over, that's when he became what he is now. And look at all the fame he's gotten out of it. He's extreme in his measures, and completely a hypocrite. Even other anti-game people pretend he doesn't exist.

Uwe Boll works for Jack Thompson, making crappy movies so even gamers hate games...It's all a huge anti-game conspiracy.

Jack thinks that there's no such thing as a violent video game. I heard he's working to get Bush to make a law to hinder the sale of violent video games (Make the companies pay an extra fee for each new video game they make with violence in it or something like that.) Oddly enough he doesn't complain about all of those war games out there where you play as american soldiers bombing the hell out of people who don't speak english.

Jack Thompson is a genius, dammit! He figured out that the only people who shoot others in the face are hitmen or gamers! Next time someone gets shot in the face, if the suspect is neither of those, you can just set him free! Saves time AND money since you won't need an investigation, trial, etc, etc! GO JACK!

Where'd you hear that? It's been ages since there's been any news about him or his doings, which even makes this whole thread seem very out-dated.

Oh wow, I didn't know there were war games that had the same kind of sensless voilence against innocent, unarmed people, like the GTA games.
