I cannot go to Download because of my GCSE's. Shame though, it should kickass, Madly in Anger 2004 kicked serious ass, and their black sabbath tribute performance was amazing, that should get them back to normal. Anything from KEA, RTL, MOP, AJFA and Enter Sandman should be a cool lineup. They should open with St Anger.

Wish I could fly out to Japan and go see 'em...but that won't be possible. I won't be abel to see them 'till they tour in the U.S. again...

-Great to see MetallicA fans here.

-What I'm REALLY looking forward to is the new album, will James' voice go back to ...And Justice For All/Black Album status? Will the riffs be long and mean? will the solos electrify your ears 'till you go death? Will the drums batter you around? And will the bass pump you up???

AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL, Will MetallicA finally go back to the REAL thrash/metal, hope they do.

PS: I wanna hear them play My Friend Of Misery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~~~

The Black Album was over rated. Ride The Lightning and Master Of Puppets forever. St Anger is extremely kickass live, it stormed Rock in Rio 2004. Trujillo cannot measure up to Cliff but Jason was pretty good at bass but Cliff was a god at bass. Kirk Hammet needs to learn how to solo, all I hear from him is waa waa distortion solo.

Kirk's doing a lot waah! waah! distorition because the rest of the band is crap:

-Lars(has gotten lazy as hell, doesn't play double bass much or is playing too fast).
-James, can't sing for these days, he sounds more like a girl than anything.

Which brings Kirk's performance down. Watch the old concerts and you'll realize that Kirk feeds off Lars' drumming and James' voice attitude. Both of those things have gone down in quality.

And no, The Black Album is NOT overrated. It's one of the best albums of ALL time, next to ...And Justice For All.

Wtf? Kirk always did waa waa solos, nothing but them. If you watched Rock in Rio 2004 you'd see lars was nearly breaking his drumsticks. Since Madly In Anger 2004 Hetfield has sang alot more like the 1992-1994 era, still noy good enough, I liked his voice best in the late 80's around the MOP era. Sounds like a girl? Hahahahahahaha, good joke. He's pulling too much into the vocals, no aggression or emotion, he's just singing with all he's got. He has a very powerful voice. Kirk isn't very good anyway, he's extremely over rated, I prefer Dave Mustaine, Chris Holmes, Michael Angelo Batio, Kerry King and Jef Hanneman, aswell as Blackie Lawless. There are thousands who can outdo his simple rifs from the Black Album. If you've noticed James wastes alot of energy on Rhythm guitar, it overlaps with Kirk when he mucks up his own rifs all the time.

Lars isn't very good, never has been, compared to Cozy Powel and Dave Lombardo he's a little boy. I've watched alot of concerts, Cunning Stunts, Binge and Purge, S&M, Rock In Rio, Big day Out, Download, Madly in Anger and Day On The Green.

No no, my friend! You don't get it do ya? Watch Live Sh*t: Binge and Purge AGAIN and tell me if Kirk doesn't feed off the energy, and specially Lars' drumming.

Look I know you're a great Dave Mustaine/MegadetH fan which naturally puts you in a state to HATE Kirk Hammet, who is one of the greatest guitarists ALIVE! Hell he plays his guitar 365 days a year. He has always used the waah! sounds which is DEADLY if used few times in a few KEY moments. I admit, that he's overdoing it, but when he's got it under control there's no denying that he's great. And hell no, Kerry King will NEVER be better than Kirk. Kerry King has played the same solos for 20 years in EVERY album:mad2: :mad2: :mad2: .

And when I say that James sounds like a girl, don't take it so SERIOUSLY. I'm just pointing out the fact that he's been singing in a high pitchy tone since Load....it sounds horrible(specially in Sad But True).

He's best voice: Garage Days----...And Justice For All:simon: :simon: :simon:

I don't like Megadeth as a band but Dave Mustaine is a much better guitarist.

Kirk cannot do anything but Waah Waah. I've watched Binge and Purge loads of times, the most energetic was Jason as usual, Kirk was just Waah Waah soloing every song.

Kirk's best Work has to be the MOP album, the rifs are alot deeper and there's not much waa waa solos, Kirk may have it in control but he never does anything else but the same type of solo. Kerry King and Jef Hanneman aswell as Mustaine and Holmes totally slaughter someone like Hammet. In Binge and Purge Kirk never changed pedals once, Lars didn't do much drumming it was just the foot pedals that made most of the noise, he used all the unused energy in his drum fight with James.

If Escape from the Studio includes another Drum Fight or switch then I think I'll get it when it comes out. There is barely any heavy metal on the Black Album never mind Thrash Metal, the Thrashiest albums were the first 4. Kirk has had his day, either he cleans up his so called "skills" or mucks up the band. You see, ever since Cliff died they've went on so many speed bumps, up and down, and up and down again. My favourite guitarist is actually Chris Holmes btw. The best live switch around to see would be James on drums, Trujillo on lead, Lars on Bass and Hammet on vocals. Metallica aren't much of a performance these days. Hope this tour will give some hope to the fans. Don't try to change the subject DK, not all of us want to try and get the point that Hammet has gotten soft since 1994....

Anyways...
And by "anyways" I mean I'm trying to think of a way to get this thread back on topic while thinking of trying to get my point to you.

Anyways...

Hey buddy, better hold it. You're the one who changed the subject.:blahblah:

And it seems to me, the last time you watched Live Sh*t was 20 thousand years ago. I'm not talking ONLY 'bout the San Diego show, I'm ALSO talking 'bout the Seattle show.

And if there's ONE thing Lars does with NO REMORSE, is play everything else excep the pedals, so you got it backwards:rolleyes2 .

And I disagree, Kirk's best work is in ...And Justice For All, any REAL 'tallica fan knows that.

And you calling The Black Album a lousy Heavy Metal album reminds me very much of the losers who cried their eyes out just because MetallicA went the PanterA way, sloooooooooower but HEAVY. I don't know what you're listening to my friend, but The Black album is heavy as hell.

You OBVIOUSLY don't know much 'bout riffs, Kirk does follow James here and there but that's what makes MetallicA song stronger, the unison James and Kirk have while riffing, makes it sound more.........solid, but he gets his 1 minutes solos, so it balances out:tongue: . And 'bout Kirk playing the same solos, you're obviously judging him by his last appearances live. Go back and listen to all the albums and tell me they're all the same.

There's NO denying that Kerry King has played the same 10 second solos in every album except a few here and there.

Ok, now you're being a total ass about this.
I have watched these performances many times. I have the Binge and Purge album rip. and I've seen the stuff cut from the DVD on youtube. If you're going to try and insult me, then go right ahead, get yourself banned. When you're throwing crap at people and calling them the dumb ones, it aint especially smart, listen to the intro of Disposable Heroes, the solo of Master of Puppets, Battery, Damage Inc. That is what Kirk should be doing. AJFA had more waa waa solos then KEA, RTL and MOP. I never said you changed the subject. I was trying to get back on topic. 10 second solo, every slayer album? God you are thick. If Venom were here he'd set you straight about that. Kirk has played the same solos in solos as in, he adds things to solos which screw them up. He's did it since cunning stunts. Metallica are a Thrash Metal band, not a hard rock or heavy metal band, not pop rock either. Their new album is based on RTL and MOP, so you've got no hope in hell. There's rumour on the Metallica forums that some songs from the new upcoming album are gonna be revealed in this tour. I already know Hunger.

Do I see you helping with the attempts to get back on topic? No. Then help dammit! This is hard.

Download should be good, I know someone who's goinf down there to Donnington.

I'm trying to get this thread back on topic because arguing with him is like talking to a brick wall, pointless. You'l never win because he throws up more stuff and it just annoys me.

Escape from the Studio sounds promising but I'm waiting for them to do a show in Newcastle for once.

Listening to something on Youtube is like listening to the cheapest cassette player out there.

You make me laugh, you think a performance is gonna look/sound great on Youtube:laugh:  that's a good one.

Anyway, I'll download their escape from the studio songs once they have them on livemetallica.com's vault.:mog:

That's why I watch alot of stuff on them.

I doubt the sings from this tour would go on the vault.

Watching something on the computer, is the same thing as watching a movie on the computer. And WE ALL know the big difference there. And I doubt Youtube DVD rips sound as great as the real thing.

I'm pretty sure they'll have it in the vault. If not, I'm fine with it, all I care 'bout is the new album.

You must have a pretty crap soundcard DK. Lol.
DVD rips are the real thing though.
This tour will probably be ripped and the music split from it and put on torrents. It happens all the time with music. I got a pretty decent sound card and graphic card and watch DVDs fine, they sound better. Especially after I tweak with my codecs a bit they sound better. Download is the kickoff for the tour aint it?

The tour started A LONG time ago.

And I've heard/seen rps on MANY different computers, the image are ok, but again, ask anyone in this forum:

-Is watching a movie/concert on your computer the same as watching it on your TV???? Specially when your TV is a 36 inch TV?

And I'm still waiting for the Cid Knights to past judgement on one of your posts. If not than I'll start calling you names with no mercy

Shoden

Go ahead and do it, it will be classed as flaming and you could be banned if you go too far, your choice.

Without the codecs I got I probably couldn't even open the files of DVD rips yet alone watch them. My speakers go louder then my TV, give more sounds and the monitor is pretty big, my system supports any region too. That's a pain in the ass. Region limits. Stop trying to cause trouble for once will ya?

Nearly every tour Metallica has done gets released anyway so even if you're too cheap or unlucky to get tickets then save up and by the DVD the following year. So escape from the studio should hopefully be one. Should be another box set like Binge and Purge and Madly In Anger. They never seem to come to the north of England. Oh well Iron Maiden in december is good enough.

DeathKnight: the Knights are not here only for your beck and call so hold your horses till one of us gets online.

Bladen: Watch your language and do not resort to namecalling. You are on quite a short lease here lately so don't make it any shorter. This actually goes for you as well, DeathKnight because you seem to drag these posting conflicts on further than they should be.

Keep this thread on topic.

I tried to get this back on topic, I still get blamed for it though. I may as well not even of tried if I get this kind of stuff coming back at me. I don't mean to argue with you guys but what was the point in trying to get back on topic if I get this anyway? I dunno why i've been so short fused recently but it's when this type of stuff happens or someone makes a big fuss about one thing I said and begins to argue while I try to get back on topic gets to me. Just delete this after you've read this right? just don't need anyone else getting involved.

I've just been reading some details on the tour, Hunger and a one called buried alive have both been played. They're revealing the tracks already it seems. Tailz, you're lucky they're coming to your area, or a place nearby. Have fun. If this isn't on topic then I don't see what is.
