..silly question, but I have to ask it.

I know Wii have Square Enix developing Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, but does that necessarily mean they'll be porting the classic [S]NES?

I don't know that there's been any confirmed word of Squeenix signing on to release games for the virtual console, but I can't imagine them not. It's too smart of a thing to do for them to pass it up.
