Nothing really suck about it. Most people think it suck because they never get better in it and never try to win.

The only things I hate about Blitzball is
1. 10 minute 0_o (I'm don't have that patience).
2. You have to play Blitzball a lot of time just to get Wakka's sigil.
3. It took me thousand minutes to find Shuu and Kyou.

And you can win that first game. Its actually the only game that you have to actually put in an honest effort to win. The rest are just easy. Once you get possession, pass it around until Tidus is open, or just has one defenseman on him while he's close to the net. If you have Jecht Shot (or sometimes Sphere Shot), you'll be able to score, but only once per half using the Jecht Shot due to HP consumption. Also, make sure you use it in the early in the 2nd half, before Tidus goes off for Wakka. That way you should have a 2-0 or 2-1 lead. Then just pass it around, and just play "keep-away' until the time runs out.

And Blitzball is by far my favorite sidequest game out of all the Final Fantasys.

However, yes I wish is were a little more like the opening video :p .

Blitzball is a fun mini-game if you don't overplay it. It's definitely not worthy of a game by itself, but for a side-quest like game, it was a nice addition.

Bingo. I was so psyched about blitzball after the first scene. Then I get to Lucca and I'm thinkin' "Oh sweet, I get to play Blitzball!" Then I actually play and all I can think of is "What the hell is this crap?"

Of course you don't need Wakka's sigil and ultimate weapon to finish the game. Its easy if you do any amount of levelling at all.

Now if you want to beat all the monster arena, or the Dark Aeons for those with the International Version, you'll need Wakka's Ultimate Weapon (and Sigil of course).

But I do agree, that getting that frickin' jupiter sigil requires FAR too many blitzball games. By that time, your team is so powerful you just totally annihilate everyone all the time, and there's no competition, making it completely boring after a while.

Still my favorite minigame though.

I hear by proclaim Blitz ball to be the most retarded game on the planet. What the fuck is up with this /xxx.gif/xxx.gif/xxx.gif/xxx.gif anyways. I go to pass to the person behind me and for some dumbass reason the guy in front of me can block the pass? How? For a game based around stratagy there sure is a lack of it. I can't call plays out on the field. I can't sub people in and out. I can't call a time out. You can't do anything. Hell....you can't even move in 3D space in the sphere this game is so /xxx.gif/xxx.gif/xxx.gif/xxx.gifty.

The game is easy to play but the lack of effort, logic and strategy that goes into just ruins the whole thing beyond any other mini game ever.

FFX is a game, of course, many unlogical things happen.
FFX cannot do all of that, they need to think about other sidequest and storyline.
You expect Square to compress all those logical things in FFX, please, Square better go and plan their next Final Fantasy besides FFX is already a good game.

That's because its not soccer, and its not football. You don't need a timeout, because everytime you encounter a player, the game pauses for as long as you like.

The tackling system is purely symbolic. The reason why a person in front of you can block the ball, even if you're passing to someone behind you, is because the player is essentially covering you. Once you encounter someone, its like man to man coverage. If he's a good blocker, in such close quarters he'll block it, or get a hand on it, no matter where you try to pass it. Likewise, if you chose to "take his tackle", you're essentially fighting off the tackle.

It is just a minigame. Of course it won't play like a PS2 sports game would. If they actually did make a blitzball PS2 game, it would probably have an awesome flow to it similar to that of hockey, and you'd tackle by hitting one of the buttons, pass by hitting another, block if you're in the way, and shoot with another. Then there'd be combinations to execute a sphere or jecht shot.

And yeah, back to the fact that ITS JUST A MINI GAME. It certainly blows triple triad and tetra master out of the water. NO pun intended. As good a game as triple triad is, its just a frickin' card game.

For a minigame, blitzball is awesome. There's so much detail, actually more than any other final fantasy minigame. You build up your players, scout other players and pay them salary, just like a real sports business.

I spent the EXCRUCIATING time getting the Jupiter Sigil and all the reels. Im not half bad, either. Its just no fun. RPG fans arent usually big on sports games. :P

i think it sucks cuz you suck in kh2 we love the cool moves they do is jecht shot not like a reaction command it looks cool and i see no problem with this game its better than cards like the last few fantasies at least this one has some practice needed to win
