Oh, and if you want to see who is hotter:

(Wow, Noriko looks like she was born in 1981, but don't all Japanese women look 10 years younger?)

Well, even though Noriko chan may be hotter, I like Youko chan better. I have Front Mission (just the ROM), Super Mario RPG, Parasite Eve, Legend of Mana, Kingdom Hearts I, and Kingdom Hearts II, and they all have really good soundtracks. I want to get the other Mario RPG's she did, and I like how she also likes Mario. All RPG's should have battle music in Kingdom Hearts: varied. In FF, you have to listen to the same battle music a million times (I still love FF music, though). I also have listened to her older work; it's decent. It's no wonder I'm overjoyed she's going to Detroit. I hope no guy is even more excited than me that's also going. If someone is, they're probably going b/c they want to stalk her. . .which would be kinda funny b/c she'd be the first video game composer to have that happen to her!

Noriko chan on the other hand, well, I don't like her as much. The Front Mission soundtrack is interesting b/c they both worked on it, and I like most of the tracks on it, but it's annoying not knowing who wrote what. I'm like, "Is it possible I'm listening to and enjoying the wrong babe?" It's very techno and combat oriented, which makes me think of them in a catfight! Ok, next, that one track she did in CT wasn't even that good anyway. I like whatever Uematsu and Mitsuda did, I agree some of the best video game music ever, except for "People who Threw Away the Will to Live," whoever wrote that one probably didn't get enough sleep the night before. I've also listened to the Bahamut Lagoon soundtrack. There are a couple of really good tracks on it (they use the same theme), but the rest of them are just decent. More music I've listened to of Noriko's was the Playonline viewer, if they mean what you needed to play FFXI. It was really hard finding a track that was actually decent while I spent about 10 minutes writing an email that on a keyboard would take that many seconds. Finally, FFX-2 (bad pun not intended). I like the first song, Eternia, but then I turned on Yuna's theme and was like, "What's this?!" Unfortunately, since it's a FF, or any RPG I plan to put my heart in, I don't listen to songs in the soundtrack more than a couple seconds unless I've heard it in game, so maybe those of you who are more familiar with the FFX-2 soundtrack can verify that it's not very good or is good.

So, Youko chan gets my vote.

Yoko makes better music, but I think the second one is more attractive.:cat:

Seconded. :D Oh, and I've seen most games spell her name Yoko Shimomura.

Yes, you're right, they do spell her name like that, but in hiragana, her named is spelt with an u, so that's why I'm spelling it like that.

If you want to be that picky though, you should really put Shimomura first too then :p

Or, if we want to be really picky, this is her name:

下村陽子

If you're going by what's official, then you'd use Yoko anyway. That's how her name is always spelled in game credits.
